  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Slugs third homer

Bregman went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Saturday against Toronto.

Bregman got the Astros on the board with a two-run home run in the first inning, his third long ball of the season and first since April 8. Though the power production hasn't been consistent, Bregman has collected at least one hit in four of his last five games. Overall, he's hitting .271/.357/.500 across 56 plate appearances.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Swats second homer

Donaldson went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two walks Saturday against Cleveland.

Donaldson took Cal Quantrill yard in the seventh inning to record his second home run of the season. He also continued to show good discipline at the plate, and he's now earned a free pass in four of his last five games. On the surface, Donaldson is striking out at a concerning 30 percent clip through 60 plate appearances, but he has been punched out only once across his last 12 plate appearances.

  • Austin Riley 3B | ATL

Braves' Austin Riley: Launches third homer

Riley went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 9-7 loss to the Marlins.

He helped chase Elieser Hernandez from the game with his fifth-inning shot, one of three homers and six extra-base hits for Atlanta on the day. Riley is so far showing that last year's breakout wasn't a fluke, slashing .268/.379/.500 through 15 games with three homers, seven RBI and nine runs.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Still feeling soreness

Monacada "is still feeling something" in his injured oblique while swinging left-handed, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Moncada took some swings Friday, but with him still experiencing some soreness, it remains to be seen when he will do so again. It's unclear when he may be ready to return to action.

  • Ke'Bryan Hayes 3B | CIN

Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Held out Saturday

Hayes is not in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cubs, according to Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Hayes ran into the left field wall in Friday's contest, and although he did not leave the game, he may not be feeling 100 percent. No injury has been reported, though, so Hayes will likely be available to pinch hit Saturday if needed. Michael Chavis will man the hot corner in his place.

  • Nick Madrigal 2B | LAA

Cubs' Nick Madrigal: Riding pine Saturday

Madrigal is not in Saturday's lineup against the Pirates.

Patrick Wisdom gets the start at third base with Jonathan Villar shifting to second base. Madrigal is hitting .227 with zero home runs and zero steals in 44 at-bats.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Launches second homer

Rendon went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Orioles.

He took Bruce Zimmermann deep in the seventh inning, but it was the last gasp of offense for the Angels on the night. Rendon is still looking to build some momentum at the plate, slashing .205/.319/.359 through 11 games with two homers and six RBI. The home run was his second of the season and his first since April 12.

  • Max Muncy 3B | LAD

Dodgers' Max Muncy: Goes deep, on base four times

Muncy went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, two additional RBI and two walks in Friday's 6-1 win against the Padres.

Muncy walked in the first and third innings, homered in the fifth to give Los Angeles the lead and singled home two more runs in the seventh to provide valuable insurance. The base knocks snapped a three-game hitless stretch for the infielder, who has been drawing walks but hasn't had much luck when putting the ball in play to the tune of a .167/.352/.357 slash line.

  • Jake Burger 1B | TEX

White Sox's Jake Burger: Strikes out twice

Burger went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts in Friday's loss to the Twins.

Burger had a tough night at the plate, as he struck out looking with the bases loaded to end the game. Though he began the season with a pair of multi-hit performances across five starts, Burger now has just one hit across his last 15 at-bats. If his struggles continue, Burger may lose playing time once Josh Harrison (shoulder) is able to return to the lineup.

  • Kevin Newman 3B | LAA

Pirates' Kevin Newman: Tallies first stolen base

Newman went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base Friday against the Cubs.

Newman tallied his only hit of the game in the second inning. He then proceeded to steal second base -- his first of the season -- and came around to score on a base hit by Roberto Perez. Newman has been in the Pirates' lineup four times in the last five matchups, and he's recorded three hits in 16 at-bats with two runs scored in that span.
