Longoria went 3-for-4 in Wednesday's loss to the Reds.

All three hits were singles, but it marked the continuation of a recent hot stretch for the 32-year-old. Over the last five games, he's hitting .348 (8-for-23) with a home run, three runs scored and a pair of RBI. That stretch has brought his average up to .256 to go along with a .767 OPS in his first year in San Francisco.

LeMahieu (thumb) will receive further evaluation from a hand specialist Wednesday afternoon, Patrick Saunders of the Denver Post reports.

LaMahieu and the Rockies appear to be slightly concerned that he's dealing with a more severe sprain than originally diagnosed. The second baseman was placed on the 10-day disabled list earlier this week after suffering a thumb injury against Milwaukee on Sunday. According to manager Bud Black, LeMahieu's thumb has been "sore, swollen and painful" and LeMahieu could miss an extended period of time if it's determined that there's a structural issue with the hand, or even a high-degree sprain. At the present time, LeMahieu cannot even grip or swing a bat, so it seems unlikely that he will immediately return to the field once he's eligible to come off the DL on Wednesday. Expect an update on his status in the coming days.

Senzel (vertigo) will head to the Reds' spring training facility in Arizona to resume baseball activity, John Fay of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Senzel was initially placed on the 7-day DL at Triple-A Louisville due to vertigo near the beginning of last week and hasn't appeared in a game since May 3. Following a few weeks void of any activity, Senzel appears to be feeling better and will start to gradually work his way back up to speed. Over 22 games this season, Senzel is hitting .271/.351/.459 with three home runs and seven RBI.

Suarez was removed from the Wednesday's starting nine due to a sore right ankle, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.

Suarez sustained the injury during Tuesday's outing and will receive a couple days to rest with the Reds having a scheduled day off Thursday before hosting the Cubs this weekend. In his place, Alex Blandino will man third base.

Suarez went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer, a double and a walk in Tuesday's loss to the Giants.

Suarez went deep off starter Ty Blach in the third, and later smacked a double off reliever Tony Watson. Suarez is hitting .458 against left-handed pitching, with four of his seven home runs coming off lefties. The third baseman has recorded a hit in seven of his last nine games, bringing his slash line to .297/.376/.594 on the year.

Farmer was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

The return of Justin Turner (wrist) spelled the end of Farmer's tenure on the big-league roster. Farmer made 14 starts in the six weeks Turner was out and was frequently used as a pinch hitter, totaling 14 hits in 69 plate appearances (.230 average). He figures to get another chance in a reserve role later this season.

Anderson (finger) is in the lineup Tuesday against the Dodgers, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.

Anderson exited Sunday's game with a sore finger. The issue was evidently a minor one, as he won't end up missing a single start.

Asuaje was recalled from Triple-A El Paso on Tuesday, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Asuaje was sent down Monday but wasn't even down long enough to make a minor-league appearance before being called back up to replace the injured Joey Lucchesi (hip). Despite the promotion, he's clearly fallen out of favor after opening the season as the Padres' primary second baseman and will likely continue to serve as a bench player.

LeMahieu was placed on the 10-day disabled list with a left thumb sprain Monday.

LeMahieu's absence from Monday night's lineup against San Diego is now explained. The club has not announced a timetable for LeMahieu's return, but he will be eligible for reinstatement May 25 against the Reds. Expect Daniel Castro to start the majority of games at second base for Colorado in his absence. Pat Valaika was recalled from Triple-A to take LeMahieu's roster spot.

LeMahieu is not in the lineup Monday against the Padres, Jenny Cavnar of AT&T SportsNet Rocky Mountain reports.

LeMahieu will head to the bench for what appears to be a routine day off after starting all four games during the team's previous series against the Brewers. Daniel Castro will start at the keystone and hit eighth in his stead.
