Suarez went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs in Thursday's loss to the Diamondbacks.

Suarez accounted for all of the Reds' offense in a 12-2 blowout. The 26-year-old was in a bad way at the plate throughout most of June (.190 average, two homers), but he seems to be heating up again with five extra-base hits in his last three games. His overall numbers still look strong despite the recent funk -- his .360 OBP represents a dramatic improvement from a year ago (.317).

Newman was promoted to Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday.

The first-round draft pick (2015) didn't overwhelm anyone with the bat at Double-A this season, as his slash line was just .259/.310/.359. Newman was heralded as a solid middle infield prospect after mashing at the lower levels of the minor leagues, but his prospect shine has faded a bit after showing little power and posting a rough batting average in a repeat of the Double-A level.

Sosa (wrist) had hamate bone surgery in June and has begun rehabbing, Kyle Glaser of Baseball America reports.

The average return time for an injury like Sosa's is 4-to-6 weeks, but it is unclear how well the shortstop is following that timetable as the Cardinals haven't announced a formal return date. Sosa has spent most of his time this season with High-A Palm Beach but appeared in one game with Double-A Springfield before suffering the injury.

Arenado went 5-for-6 with three home runs, seven RBI and four runs during Wednesday's win over San Diego.

It's always nice when a week's worth of counting stats are packed into a single game, and Arenado now has six homers, 17 RBI and 11 runs through his past eight contests. By his standards, it was a slow start to 2017, but he's now leading the National League in RBI (80) and is one of the best fantasy commodities in baseball.

Galindo is on the 7-day DL at Low-A South Bend with shoulder and leg injuries, John Manuel of Baseball America reports.

The 20-year-old corner infielder posted a .290/.350/.432 slash line with four home runs and a manageable 22.6 percent strikeout rate prior to the injury. He is a high-risk proposition, but his big raw power makes him an intriguing commodity in deeper dynasty leagues.

Rendon went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's win over the Angels.

He extended his hitting streak to 12 games, and Rendon is slashing a ridiculous .476/.577/.881 over that stretch with four homers, 14 RBI and eight runs. He's already matched last year's homer total with 20 in 86 games, and his next blast will tie his previous career high.

Asuaje went 2-for-5 with a double, his first MLB homer and two runs in Tuesday's road loss to the Rockies.

Coors Field is a good place to go looking for your first big-league home run, but Asuaje has been a steady bat in general -- he's hitting a strong .315 over his first 73 at-bats this season. Still, his fantasy upside is quite modest even though he's getting consistent at-bats, as his lack of both power and speed makes him mostly an NL-only asset.

Arenado is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Padres, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Arenado has been an ironman for the Rockies this season, as this marks just the third time this season he isn't in the starting lineup. Alexi Amarista will man the hot corner in his stead, but look for the elite infielder to return to the fray Wednesday.

Rivera was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Tuesday.

The infielder made just one appearance after being called up to the big leagues. With the Brewers in need of catching depth more than infield depth at the moment, Rivera will return to the minors. His positional versatility could help him find his way back to Milwaukee when the team's catching situation is sorted out once again.

Peterson was optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett on Monday.

With a .187 batting average on the season, Peterson's primary calling card is his positional versatility. However, with both Sean Rodriguez and Danny Santana back from the disabled list, there's simply no room on the active roster for Peterson. Given his amount of MLB experience, the 27-year-old seems to be a likely candidate to be recalled if the need arises, but he'll toil in the minors for now.
