Pirates' Ke'Bryan Hayes: Sits again due to shoulder
Hayes (shoulder) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Ryan McMahon 3B | NYY
Rockies' Ryan McMahon: Resting against lefty
McMahon is out of the lineup for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Reds.
Elehuris Montero will step in at third base for the early game while the lefty-hitting McMahon retreats to the bench against Reds southpaw Nick Lodolo. Expect McMahon to re-enter the starting nine for the nightcap, when right-hander Chase Anderson will take the hill for Cincinnati.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Picks up fourth steal
Arenado went 1-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Saturday's 8-4 win over the Cubs.
Arenado saw a five-game hitting streak end Friday, but he was able to get aboard twice Saturday. In the third inning, he walked and worked the back end of a double steal with fellow slugger Paul Goldschmidt to help the Cardinals extend their rally. Arenado is 4-for-7 in steal attempts this year to go with 28 home runs, 89 RBI, 65 runs scored and a .305/.368/.565 slash line through 123 contests.

Eduardo Escobar 3B | TOR
Mets' Eduardo Escobar: Homers in back-to-back games
Escobar went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in Saturday's 7-1 loss to the Nationals.
The Mets mustered only four hits in the contest, and Escobar's long ball accounted for their lone run. He's taking advantage of renewed playing time at third base in September, going 2-for-7 with two homers, four RBI and two walks through three games this month. The veteran infielder is slashing just .219/.272/.397 on the year with 14 homers, 48 RBI, 43 runs scored and 22 doubles through 109 contests, but he should have a clear path to playing time until Luis Guillorme (groin) returns.

Manny Machado 3B | SD
Padres' Manny Machado: Homers against former club
Machado went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in a 7-1 win over the Dodgers on Friday.
Machado struck the first blow in the series when he lifted a two-run shot to left field in the third inning. The long ball extended his hitting streak to seven games, during which he is slashing .433/.469/.833 with three homers, 11 RBI and seven runs. Machado is up to 25 homers on the year, a mark that he has reached in every season since 2015 aside from the abbreviated 2020 campaign.

Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: Homers in third straight game
Riley went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Friday's 8-1 win over the Marlins.
He took Cole Sulser deep in the seventh inning, one of five Atlanta homers on the night, and Riley extended his personal homer streak to three games. The 25-year-old slugger can be very streaky, but the highs have far outweighed the lows in 2022 and Friday's blast gave Riley a new career high with 34 homers to go along with a career-best .927 OPS. With 29 games left on Atlanta's schedule, he's got a legitimate shot at his first 40-homer campaign.
