Austin Riley 3B | ATL
Braves' Austin Riley: Drills homer in win
Riley went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, three runs scored and three RBI in Friday's win against Miami.
Riley's solo shot in the third inning was his 15th home run of the season. The 26-year-old slugger hasn't looked like himself for most of the year, but he's starting to catch fire; over his last 12 games in June, Riley slashed .320/.404/.600 with four home runs and a 6:6 BB:K. His season line is up to .270/.337/.459 through 359 plate appearances.

Evan Longoria 3B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Evan Longoria: Playing time on uptick
Longoria started at third base and went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a run scored in Friday's 6-2 win over the Angels.
Longoria started for the fourth time in the last five games and has experienced an uptick in playing time since Arizona demoted Josh Rojas to Triple-A Reno. For a time, it looked like Emmanuel Rivera moved ahead of him on the depth chart, but the 37-year-old Longoria has been one of the team's hottest hitters of late, posting a 1.178 OPS since June 12.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Marlins' Jean Segura: Sitting Friday
Segura isn't in the Marlins' lineup Friday against Atlanta, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Segura was originally slated for a day off Thursday but entered the lineup when Garrett Cooper was scratched due to illness. Now, Segura will get his day off Friday while Jon Berti covers third base and bats seventh.

Max Muncy 3B | LAD
Dodgers' Max Muncy: Knocks in three runs Thursday
Muncy went 2-for-6 with a double, a run and three RBI in Thursday's 14-3 rout of the Rockies.
Muncy returned Tuesday from a stint on the injured list due to a hamstring strain, and he collected his first knock since being activated with a two-run double in the fourth inning Thursday. The slugger followed with a run-scoring single in the fifth for his first multi-hit performance since May 30. Muncy has been productive with 18 homers, 48 RBI and 41 runs on the campaign, and he's posted a respectable .321 OBP thanks to his 15.4 percent walk rate. However, his batting average currently sits at .192, which puts him in line to finish below the Mendoza Line for the third time in the past four seasons.

Nick Senzel 3B | LAD
Reds' Nick Senzel: On bench again Friday
Senzel is absent from the lineup for Friday's game versus the Padres.
Senzel has now been out of the lineup for three straight games and started just six of 13 contests since returning from the injured list. He's just 4-for-25 at the plate over that span and could continue to see his playing time squeezed on a Reds club that's been a surprise contender.

Brett Baty 3B | NYM
Mets' Brett Baty: Ends power drought
Baty went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Brewers.
After taking Adrian Houser deep in the third inning, the rookie third baseman got lifted for a pinch hitter in the seventh against left-handed reliever Hoby Milner. Baty snapped a 29-game homer drought, a stretch in which he slashed just .237/.306/.278 with four doubles and 10 RBI. The Mets are committed to the 23-year-old at the hot corner after trading away Eduardo Escobar, but if Baty's struggles continue, it's possible Mark Vientos -- who has seen action at third base in 22 of his 46 games for Triple-A Syracuse this season -- might be called back up to compete with him for playing time.

J.D. Davis 1B | LAA
Giants' J.D. Davis: Tossed from Thursday's game
Davis was ejected from Thursday's game against the Blue Jays after arguing a called third strike to end the third inning, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
Davis struck out in each of his at-bats prior to being ejected, ending his modest three-game hitting streak. Casey Schmitt took over at third base.

Nolan Arenado 3B | ARI
Cardinals' Nolan Arenado: Starting in DH role
Arenado (back) is serving as the Cardinals' designated hitter and batting cleanup Thursday versus the Astros.
Arenado has been bothered by lower-back tightness since Tuesday and made an early exit from Wednesday's game because of it, but he feels well enough to fill the DH role in Thursday's series finale versus Houston. Nolan Gorman will cover third base and Brendan Donovan is playing second base.

Jean Segura 3B | CLE
Marlins' Jean Segura: Added to lineup Thursday
Segura has been added to the lineup for Thursday's game in Boston, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Segura was supposed to have the night off, but the Marlins need him after Yuli Gurriel (face) and Garrett Cooper (illness) both got scratched. Segura will play third base and bat fifth versus the Red Sox and right-hander Brayan Bello.
