Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Collects three hits in Monday's win
Moncada went 3-for-6 with a triple, two RBI and two runs scored in Monday's 11-3 win over the Royals.
Moncada hasn't made a splash since his callup to Chicago just after the All-Star break, but you can see hints of the hitter he can become. Nearly half of his 25 hits have gone for extra bases. The White Sox are being smart with Moncada. He's hit second in all six games played since his return from injury. That allows Moncada to get as many at-bats and see as many pitches as possible, setting him up to be the White Sox's leadoff hitter in 2018.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Removed as precaution
Ramirez was removed for precautionary reasons after sustaining a left forearm bruise Monday against Detroit, Jordan Bastian of MLB.com reports.
Cleveland was already up 8-0 when Ramirez left in the sixth inning, so it's possible he may have stayed in and played had the game been within reach for the Tigers. Considering that Cleveland is running away with the AL Central, Ramirez may get a day off to rest, but the injury isn't major, so it's possible he could be back in the lineup as soon as Tuesday.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Leaves after getting hit by pitch on wrist
Ramirez left Monday's game after he was hit in the wrist with a pitch, Chris Assenheimer of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
The ball actually hit Ramirez's bat before it hit his left wrist. Ramirez has also been dealing with a sore right wrist for the past week, so Cleveland may want to give him some rest to ensure he'll be ready for October and beyond. He owns a .919 OPS with 25 homers and 15 steals, as Ramirez has been a dynamic bat that the Indians will need to go deep in the postseason. Consider him day-to-day for now.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Returns to lineup Monday
Donaldson (illness) is serving as Toronto's designated hitter and hitting third Monday against the Orioles, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
After missing four games with a cold, Donaldson is ready to return to the lineup Monday. He'll head into a favorable matchup, as the struggling Ubaldo Jimenez is taking the mound for Baltimore.

Trevor Plouffe 3B | PHI
Rays' Trevor Plouffe: Batting second Monday
Plouffe will play third base and bat second Monday against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The Rays are giving Evan Longoria a day out of the field by deploying him as the designated hitter, so Plouffe will check into the lineup at the hot corner while Logan Morrison shuttles to the bench. Plouffe has struggled on the whole this season, but he owns a respectable .268/.343/.449 line against left-handers, which could make him a decent punt play Monday versus Yankees southpaw CC Sabathia.

Matt Chapman 3B | SF
Athletics' Matt Chapman: Hits 12th homer Sunday
Chapman went 2-for-3 with a home run, two walks and two RBI in Sunday's 10-2 win over the Astros.
Chapman drove in his team's first two runs off starter Dallas Keuchel, getting the scoring started with a solo homer in the fifth inning before adding a bases-loaded walk in the very next frame. The rookie third baseman fits the patient and powerful moneyball mold craved by Oakland general manager Billy Beane, as he sports a 9.8 percent walk rate and .504 slugging percentage.

J.D. Davis 1B | LAA
Astros' J.D. Davis: Hits fourth long ball
Davis mashed a pinch-hit solo homer in his lone at-bat Sunday in Oakland.
Davis now has four home runs in 18 games and is hitting .250/.310/.558. The third baseman's strong start at the plate still hasn't been enough to find regular at-bats, however, as there simply isn't room for him with Carlos Correa and Alex Bregman manning the left side of the infield.

Jose Ramirez 3B | CLE
Indians' Jose Ramirez: Back in action Sunday
Ramirez (wrist) is back in the Indians' lineup Sunday, batting third and playing second base.
Wrist soreness kept him out for three games, but he's ready to get back to work. Ramirez will look to build on a fantastic season of .309/.362/.564 with 25 home runs, 93 runs scored, 69 RBI and 15 stolen bases over 572 plate appearances.
-
Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Blue Jays' Josh Donaldson: Remains out with illness Sunday
Donaldson (illness) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.
Donaldson will miss his third consecutive game as he continues to battle a bad cold. He shouldn't be sidelined much longer, but Darwin Barney will continue to fill his void at the hot corner in the meantime.

Eduardo Escobar 3B | TOR
Twins' Eduardo Escobar: Ropes homer Saturday
Escobar went 1-for-3 with a solo homer Saturday during the Twins' 5-2 loss to the Royals.
Escobar hit a laser off Jake Junis to tie the game in the third inning. His blast marked his 18th of the season and fifth in September, during which he's now 12-for-36 with 13 RBI. Still, it's uncertain that he's done enough to justify anything more than part-time duty after Miguel Sano (shin) returns from the disabled list, likely in the coming days.
