  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: On base four times

LeMahieu went 3-for-4 with two runs and a walk in a 7-6 loss to the Mets on Sunday.

LeMahieu walked and scored in the first inning and singled in the second, seventh and ninth to reach base four times for the third time all season and first since July 11. Though the infielder is still hitting for average with a 13-for-39 mark in 11 September games, all of those hits have been singles, and LeMahieu's overall isolated power is his lowest since 2015.

  • Taylor Walls 3B | TB

Rays' Taylor Walls: Hot in first two games back

Walls, who went 0-for-3 with two walks in an extra-innings loss to the Tigers on Sunday, is 2-for-6 with three base on balls, a stolen base and a run in his first two games since being recalled from Triple-A Durham.

Walls was recalled from the Bulls prior to Saturday's game versus Detroit, a 7-2 win for the Rays in which he went 2-for-3 with a walk, a steal and a run while starting at shortstop for Wander Franco (hamstring). Walls still carries just a .209/.316/.306 slash line in the majors this season, but his diverse production over the small weekend sample offers some hope that he may be starting to get a better handle on big-league arms. He should be set for steady starting opportunities while Franco remains sidelined.

  • Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Powers offense in win

Candelario went 2-for-5 with a pair of home runs and three RBI in Sunday's 8-7 extra-innings win over Tampa Bay.

The 27-year-old hit a solo shot in the fourth inning and a game-tying two-run blast to keep Detroit alive in the 10th. Candelario is off to a good start in September, going 13-for-43 (.302) with four homers, 13 RBI and 10 runs scored across 11 games. His season slash line is up to a strong .275/.350/.449 with 14 long balls in 134 contests.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Not starting Sunday

Chapman (lower leg) is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Chapman exited Saturday's game after fouling a ball off his shin and, despite negative X-ray results, isn't good to go for the series finale. He should be considered day-to-day with a chance of returning Tuesday after Oakland's day off. Josh Harrison is playing third base Sunday, with Tony Kemp moving to second base.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Not starting nightcap

Urias isn't in the lineup for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays.

Urias returned to the lineup from an upper-leg injury that cost him a couple games in Saturday's matinee and went 1-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts. Kelvin Gutierrez will start at the hot corner and bat eighth.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Athletics' Matt Chapman: Exits with shin injury

Chapman exited Saturday's loss to the Rangers after he fouled a ball off his left foot/shin area, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Chapman underwent an X-ray that came back negative after he exited Saturday's matchup, but manager Bob Melvin said that the third baseman is unlikely to play in Sunday's series finale. The 28-year-old went 0-for-2 with two strikeouts prior to his early departure.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Back in action for Game 1

Urias (upper leg) is starting at second base and batting fifth in Game 1 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Blue Jays, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.

He hasn't played since making one at-bat Sept. 8. Urias is currently riding a modest six-game hitting streak.

  • Taylor Walls 3B | TB

Rays' Taylor Walls: Up to replace Franco

Walls was recalled from Triple-A Durham prior to Saturday's game against the White Sox, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Wander Franco (hamstring strain) will likely miss at least a couple weeks, so Walls should play pretty regularly at shortstop in the short term. He is slashing .255/.389/.471 with eight home runs and nine steals in 45 games at Triple-A, but that success has not carried over in the majors, where he is slashing .203/.301/.305 in 147 plate appearances.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Twins' Josh Donaldson: Cranks three-run homer

Donaldson went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run and a walk in Friday's 6-4 loss to the Royals.

Donaldson slammed a three-run homer off Daniel Lynch in the first inning, scoring four runs without recording an out in the game. It was Donaldson's first long ball of September, where he has gotten off to a slow start batting .194 in nine games. The 35-year-old is slashing .251/.349/.475 with 22 homers, 62 RBI and 59 runs scored in 456 plate appearances this season.

  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Doubles, drives in four

Bregman went 3-for-4 with a double, four RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 10-5 win over the Angels.

Bregman drove in Jose Altuve in the third inning and he doubled in the fourth, knocking in a pair. In addition, he scored in both of those innings, and plated a fourth run in the seventh. He is riding a 10-game hitting streak and he has at least one run or RBI in each of his last seven games. The 27-year-old is slashing .297/.375/.457 with nine long balls, 45 RBI and 46 runs scored in 315 plate appearances. He is batting .404 in 13 games since coming off the 10-day injured list on Aug. 25.
