  • Alex Bregman 3B | CHC

Astros' Alex Bregman: Quiet bat early on

Bregman went 0-for-3 with a walk and a strikeout Sunday against the Mariners.

Bregman was hitless for his fourth consecutive game, though he has walked four times across 16 plate appearances in that same span. While it's generally too early to panic about early season slumps, Bregman has also yet to register an extra-base hit on the campaign. Positively, he's striking out at a 14 percent clip -- in line with his career norms -- so hits should start to fill in.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Twins' Gio Urshela: Making third straight start

Urshela will start at third base and bat third in Monday's game against the Red Sox, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Urshela will pick up his third straight start at the hot corner with the lefty-hitting Luis Arraez taking a seat against Boston southpaw Rich Hill. Arraez's ability to play multiple positions should continue to allow Urshela to pick up occasional starts against right-handed pitching, too, but the 30-year-old hasn't done much in a small sample of 24 plate appearances to warrant much excitement. He's hitting .227 with a home run, no stolen bases, three runs and two RBI in eight games.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Not in Sunday's lineup

Rendon is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Rendon has a modest four-game hit streak during which he is 4-for-14 with a home run, three walks, three RBI and two steals, and he'll receive a day off Sunday. Jack Mayfield will start at the hot corner in the series finale at Texas.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Not starting Sunday

Urias is out of the lineup Sunday against the Yankees, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Urias has started six of eight games at the hot corner to begin the season but finds himself on the bench for Sunday's contest. Kelvin Gutierrez will start in his place for the series finale in New York.

  • Taylor Walls 3B | TB

Rays' Taylor Walls: Swipes first bag

Walls went 0-for-3 with three strikeouts and a stolen base Saturday against the White Sox.

Walls drew the start at shortstop Saturday, as Wander Franco was in the lineup as the designated hitter. He was hit by a pitch in his opening plate appearance and subsequently swiped second base to record his first steal of the campaign. That was the only good news for Walls in the contest, as he struck out in his remaining three at-bats -- including for the final out of the game.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Swipes bag Saturday

Rendon went 1-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 7-2 win over Texas.

Rendon drove in the Angels' second run with a sacrifice fly in the second inning and stole second base following a walk in the seventh. The veteran third baseman has started slowly with a .185/.303/.296 slash line through 33 plate appearances, but he's given his fantasy managers some value with two thefts. Rendon didn't even attempt a stolen base in either of his previous two campaigns.

  • Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL

Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Goes deep in win

Donaldson went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk and a two-run home run in Saturday's 5-2 win over Baltimore.

Donaldson hit his first long ball of the campaign in the fifth inning, drilling a 403-foot two-run blast to give the Yankees a lead they did not relinquish. The veteran also doubled in the ninth, giving him his first multi-hit game since Opening Day. Donaldson is slashing .222/.282/.361 overall this season.

  • Matt Chapman 3B | SF

Blue Jays' Matt Chapman: Slugs second homer

Chapman went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 7-5 loss to the A's.

He took Domingo Acevedo deep in the sixth inning, kicking off a Toronto rally from a 5-2 deficit, but Oakland regained the lead in the ninth. Chapman has had a sluggish start to his stint with the Blue Jays, going 6-for-27 (.222) through nine games, but the third baseman does have two homers and six RBI.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: On bench Saturday

LeMahieu isn't starting Saturday's game against the Orioles.

LeMahieu recorded hits in each of the last four games and went 6-for-15 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI during that time. He'll get a breather while Gleyber Torres starts at second base and bats seventh.

  • Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA

White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Still experiencing discomfort

Manager Tony La Russa said Saturday that Moncada (oblique) is still experiencing discomfort when making some movements required for defense, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

Moncada has been sidelined since the start of the regular season due to a Grade 1 oblique strain and initially carried a recovery timetable of approximately three weeks. While it's still possible that his pain subsides in time to meet that estimate, La Russa didn't want to put a timetable on the next steps in Moncada's recovery until the 26-year-old is pain-free. Jake Burger has drawn most of the starts at third base early in the regular season and should continue to do so until Moncada is cleared to return.
