    Devers went 4-for-6 with a double and three RBI in Sunday's 13-3 win over the Royals.

    Devers knocked a two-run single in the fifth inning followed by another RBI single in the eighth. It's been an up-and-down September for the star third baseman; after three straight multi-hit games to begin the month, Devers hit just .216 over his next 10 games before Sunday's strong effort. He's now slashing .292/.351/.527 with 66 extra-base hits and 82 RBI through 556 plate appearances.

    Angels' Matt Duffy: Receives breather

    Duffy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mariners, Sarah Valenzuela of the Los Angeles Times reports.

    Luis Rengifo will step in at third base while Duffy rests after starting 13 of the Angels' last 15 games at either corner-infield spot. Since his return from the injured list Aug. 29, Duffy is slashing .200/.273/.300 with three extra-base hits.

    New York managed little offense against the combination of Brandon Woodruff and Devin Williams, but Donaldson ensured that the team didn't get shut out with his solo homer in the fourth inning. The long ball was his second in as many days and his third over his past six games. Donaldson still has just 15 homers on the campaign and has struggled with a 26.4 percent strikeout rate, which is on pace to be his worst mark over any full season in his career.

    Urias is not in Sunday's lineup against the Blue Jays, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

    Urias is hitting .217 with two doubles, 12 strikeouts and six walks in 14 games this month. Terrin Vavra enters the lineup at second base, hitting sixth.

  • Orioles' Gunnar Henderson: Another multi-hit game

    Henderson went 2-for-4 with one double, two RBI and one run scored in Saturday's loss to Toronto.

    Henderson notched a two-run single to get Baltimore within one off righty starter Jose Berrios in the third inning. The infielder has recorded two hits in four straight games and boasts an outstanding 1.281 OPS over 27 plate appearances in his last seven games. The 21-year-old rookie has tallied four doubles, a triple and a home run in 25 at-bats during that span.

    Twins' Gio Urshela: Four hits across doubleheader

    Urshela went 4-for-9 with a double, two RBI, a run scored and a walk as the Twins were swept by the Guardians in Saturday's doubleheader.

    Urshela sparked the Twins' eighth-inning rally in the nightcap with a two-run single. He's hit safely in 10 of his last 11 games, batting .439 (18-for-41) in that span. The third baseman is up to a .277/.325/.426 slash line with 12 home runs, 57 RBI, 51 runs scored, one stolen base, 24 doubles and three triples through 127 contests this year.

    Guardians' Jose Ramirez: Plays well in doubleheader

    Ramirez went 2-for-9 with three walks, a solo home run and a stolen base as the Guardians swept the Twins in Saturday's doubleheader.

    Ramirez hit a solo shot in a 5-1 win in the day game. In the night game, he got aboard four times and recorded a steal. The third baseman has gone 10-for-31 (.323) across his last nine games while adding 10 walks to just four strikeouts. For the season, the 30-year-old is slashing .279/.358/.529 with 28 homers, 112 RBI, 80 runs scored and 16 steals through 141 contests.

    White Sox's Jake Burger: Ramps up hitting program

    Burger (wrist) ramped up his hitting program Friday, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

    Burger broke his left wrist when he was hit by a pitch while playing for Triple-A Charlotte in late August. He still has time to build back up before the end of the regular season, though he's running out of time to make much of an impact.

  • Eugenio Suarez DH | CIN

    Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Out with broken fingertip

    Suarez was placed on the 10-day injured list with a small fracture in the tip of his right index finger, Shannon Drayer of Seattle Sports 710 AM reports.

    Suarez's initial X-rays were inconclusive after he left Friday's game against the Angels due to the injury, but a fracture has since been found. The Mariners believe he may be able to return as a designated hitter after the minimum 10 days, per Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times, but it may take longer until he's able to throw. Abraham Toro starts at third base Saturday against the Angels in his absence, while Dylan Moore (oblique) was activated off the injured list to take Suarez's place on the roster.

    Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Not in Saturday's lineup

    Suarez (finger) isn't starting Saturday against the Angels.

    Suarez sustained an injury to his right index finger while fielding a ground ball during Friday's series opener against the Angels, and he underwent X-rays that were inconclusive. He'll take a seat for at least one game while Abraham Toro starts at the hot corner and bats ninth.
