Jake Burger 3B | TEX
White Sox's Jake Burger: Dealing with fractured wrist
Burger is expected to miss several weeks due to a non-displaced left wrist fracture, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.
Burger dealt with a hand issue earlier this season and sustained his most recent injury when he was hit by a pitch Aug. 20. The 26-year-old was placed on the 7-day injured list this week but will likely need to spend more than the minimum amount of time on the shelf prior to returning to action at Triple-A Charlotte.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Placed on injured list
Moncada was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain Saturday, retroactive to Aug. 26.
Moncada exited Thursday's matchup against the Orioles due to a hamstring issue, and the injury will ultimately sideline him for at least a week and a half. It's not yet clear when the White Sox expect him to return, but Josh Harrison and Romy Gonzalez are strong candidates to see increased playing time at third base, particularly after Leury Garcia (back) was reinstated from the injured list Saturday.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Tigers' Jeimer Candelario: Reaches, scores twice Friday
Candelario went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and two runs scored in Friday's loss to the Rangers.
Candelario is now riding a modest two-game hitting streak, though he's batting just .129 this month and .196 for the season. The 28-year-old should continue to see regular playing time at third base the rest of this season, but it remains to be seen what his role might be in 2023, as his current contract expires at the end of the year.

Ramon Urias 3B | STL
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Blasts 14th homer
Urias went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 2-0 victory over the Astros on Friday.
Urias came up big for his team by launching a towering home run onto the train tracks in Minute Maid Park to break a scoreless tie and power the Orioles to a road victory. It was the third baseman's 14th homer of 2022. He is slashing .232/.261/.366 with three long balls in August.

Jonah Bride 3B | TEX
Athletics' Jonah Bride: Clubs first homer
Bride went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and three strikeouts in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Yankees.
Bride got the Athletics on the board in the seventh inning with a solo shot, his first big-league homer. It came in his 36th game with Oakland, and it was just his fourth extra-base hit in 117 at-bats. It wasn't all positive for the infielder, as he also posted his first three-strikeout game, though facing Yankees ace Gerrit Cole didn't help his cause there. For the season, Bride is slashing .222/.308/.274 with six RBI, 10 runs scored and a stolen base, though he should retain fairly regular playing time for a team that's nowhere near contention.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Held out Friday
Moncada (hamstring) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Moncada exited Thursday's contest with tightness in his left hamstring, and he'll be sidelined for at least one game. Josh Harrison will shift to the hot corner while Romy Gonzalez starts at second base.

Rafael Devers 3B | SF
Red Sox's Rafael Devers: Steps out of lineup
Devers is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Rays, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.
Devers had started all 21 games since returning from the injured list Aug. 2, but he'll receive a day off after posting a .626 OPS during that stretch. Christian Arroyo will shift to third base and Enrique Hernandez to second while Jarren Duran starts in center field.

Isaac Paredes 3B | HOU
Rays' Isaac Paredes: Slugs 16th homer
Paredes went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run homer Thursday against the Angels.
After sitting Wednesday, Paredes returned to the lineup to hit fifth in the order and play second base with a lefty on the mound. He's started six of the team's last seven games, though four have come against southpaws. He took advantage of his opportunity Thursday, slugging his 16th homer of the season and second in his last three games. In the seven-game stretch during which his playing time has ticked up, Paredes is hitting .227/.320/.591 with three RBI and four runs scored.

Josh Donaldson 3B | MIL
Yankees' Josh Donaldson: Posts big stat line Thursday
Donaldson went 3-for-5 with two doubles, a walk, four runs and three RBI in a 13-4 victory against Oakland on Thursday.
The bottom five in New York's order combined to go 12-for-25 with seven RBI in the rout, and Donaldson was at the forefront with a trio each of hits and runs batted in. The veteran third baseman had been struggling mightily entering the contest, going 6-for-44 (.136 average) over his previous 13 games. Donaldson's 12 homers on the campaign are disappointing given than he hit 26 long balls last season, but he's picked up 25 doubles, just one shy of his total last year.

DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY
Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Planned day off
LeMahieu's absence from the lineup Thursday against the Athletics was planned to manage a previous toe injury, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.
Giancarlo Stanton returned to the lineup Thursday, which crowded the Yankees' lineup. LeMahieu was the odd-man out, though it was later clarified to be a maintenance day. He returned to the lineup Aug. 18 after missing three games due to inflammation in his right big toe, so the Yankees are taking a cautious approach to his workload.
