Athletics' Jace Peterson: Dealing with sore left wrist

Athletics manager Mark Kotsay announced that Peterson is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cubs with a sore left wrist, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The injury occurred when Peterson rolled his left wrist on a dive during Sunday's game against the Mets. Kotsay did say that the infielder could be available if needed off the bench, so Peterson should be considered day-to-day at this point.

  • Bryan Ramos 3B | BAL

White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Shifts to 7-day IL

Double-A Birmingham placed Ramos (groin) on its 7-day injured list last Tuesday.

Ramos has yet to appear in a game for the Double-A club this season while tending to the groin injury he apparently picked up at some point in spring training. The 21-year-old infielder isn't expected to be in line for a lengthy absence, so he could be ready to make his 2023 debut for Birmingham at some point before the end of April.

  • Jake Burger 3B | TEX

White Sox's Jake Burger: Homers in third consecutive game

Burger went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Sunday against the Orioles.

Burger contributed to a four-run first inning for the White Sox by taking Grayson Rodriguez deep. He has now homered in three consecutive games and has a total of four long balls on the season. His playing time figures to decrease significantly once Yoan Moncada (back) is able to return, but Burger has made the case for more at-bats with his recent run.

  • Gio Urshela 3B | MIN

Angels' Gio Urshela: Not losing work after Neto call-up

Urshela will start at third base and bat fifth in Monday's game against the Red Sox, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Though he'll be replacing a resting Anthony Rendon in Monday's series finale, Urshela appears to be gaining a foothold as the Angels' primary first baseman following the call-up of top prospect Zach Neto. While Neto looks poised to get at least a short-term trial as the Angels' everyday shortstop, Urshela doesn't project to see much work at that position, but his ability to play everywhere else on the diamond should afford him ample playing time while he continues to outproduce the likes of Jake Lamb, Luis Rengifo and Brandon Drury. Through 54 plate appearances on the season, Urshela is slashing .346./376/.442 while striking out at a manageable 20.4 percent clip.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Gets rest for day game

Rendon is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

After being scratched from the lineup ahead of Monday's 6-4 loss to the Nationals due to a shoulder issue, Rendon proceeded to start each of the Angels' subsequent five games to close out the week, going 5-for-15 with a double, five walks, three RBI and three runs. The veteran third baseman looks to be receiving some maintenance Monday, given that the series finale in Boston will begin at 11:10 a.m. ET. Gio Urshela steps in for Rendon at the hot corner.

  • Jace Peterson SS | ARI

Athletics' Jace Peterson: Nabs stolen base Sunday

Peterson went 0-for-3 with two walks, a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Mets.

Peterson walked in the sixth and eighth inning. He stole his second base of the year in the sixth and scored on a two-run double by Shea Langliers in the eighth. The 33-year-old has not done much to warrant fantasy consideration, as he's slashing .204/.273/.306 with a home run and seven RBI over 55 plate appearances.

  • DJ LeMahieu 2B | NYY

Yankees' DJ LeMahieu: Powers Yankees in win

LeMahieu went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI in Sunday's 2-0 victory over Minnesota.

LeMahieu provided all of the offense in Sunday's victory, driving in Aaron Judge with a single in the third inning before cranking a solo home run off Pablo Lopez in the sixth. LeMahieu has gotten off to a nice start this season, slashing .283/.353/.543 with two home runs, six RBI and 10 runs scored. He has five hits over his last three games, which covers 12 at-bats around a short absence due to a quad injury.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Diagnosed with contusion behind ear

Orioles manager Brandon Hyde told reporters that Urias is still in the concussion protocol and dealing with a bruise behind his left ear, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Urias is out of the lineup Sunday after taking a fastball to his head and being removed from the lineup against the White Sox on Saturday. The manager also mentioned he was unsure if Urias will be ready for Tuesday's game against the Nationals, and a trip to the seven-day injured list can't be ruled out at this time.

  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Slugs solo blast in win

Suarez went 1-for-4 with an RBI hit-by-pitch and a solo home run in a win over the Rockies on Saturday.

Suarez recorded his two RBI in drastically different ways, following up his 367-foot solo shot to center in the fourth inning by getting plunked with the bases loaded in the sixth to drive in a run. The 31-year-old is in the midst of an extended stretch of hot hitting, as he's produced five multi-hit efforts, 13 RBI, a .320 average and an .855 OPS over the 56 plate appearances covering his last 12 games.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Remains out of lineup

Urias (head) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.

Mateo was hit on the left side of his helmet by a Kendall Graveman fastball that was clocked at 96.2 mph during Saturday's game against the White Sox and wasn't able to continue. The infielder will miss at least one more game with Jorge Mateo lined up at shortstop and Gunnar Henderson back at third base for the series finale.
