  • Eugenio Suarez 3B | CIN

Mariners' Eugenio Suarez: Clutch hitting Saturday

Suarez went 1-for-4 with a two-run single in a win over the Cardinals on Saturday.

The veteran slugger drove home Kolten Wong and J.P. Crawford with a two-out single in the seventh inning that snapped a 3-3 tie and wound up being the difference in the game. The timely knock pushed Suarez's RBI total to a team-leading 15, and he's now hitting .360 across 32 plate appearances with runners in scoring position this season.

  • Anthony Rendon 3B | LAA

Angels' Anthony Rendon: Gets breather against Royals

Rendon is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the Royals, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Rendon will take a seat after going 0-for-7 in the first two games of the series against Kansas City. Gio Urshela is at third base and hitting sixth in his place.

  • Tyler Nevin 3B | ATH

Tigers' Tyler Nevin: Late addition to lineup

Nevin is starting at third base and batting seventh Sunday against the Orioles.

The 25-year-old was originally absent from Sunday's lineup, but he was added to the starting nine after Javier Baez (finger) was scratched. Nevin has yet to find much success in his first five big-league games of the season, going 1-for-13 with an RBI and two walks.

  • Tyler Nevin 3B | ATH

    Tigers' Tyler Nevin: Sitting Sunday

Nevin is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

He'll cede his spot in the lineup to Zach McKinstry, who will be rewarded with a start at third base after slugging a solo home run in Saturday's 5-1 loss. Though a regular spot in the starting nine is there for the taking for Nevin while a punchless Tigers offense has now failed to score more than four runs in five straight games, the 25-year-old remains part of the team's wholesale issues at the plate. Through five games with the big club, Nevin is hitting .077 with five strikeouts in 17 plate appearances.

  • Tyler Freeman 3B | COL

Guardians' Tyler Freeman: Heads back to Triple-A

Cleveland optioned Freeman to Triple-A Columbus on Sunday, Zack Meisel of The Athletic reports.

The move opens up a spot on the 26-man roster for lefty Logan Allen, who was called up from Triple-A ahead of his scheduled start Sunday versus the Marlins. Freeman went 2-for-7 at the dish in his brief cup of coffee with the Guardians and will return to regular playing time as he heads back to the International League.

  • Oswald Peraza 3B | LAA

Yankees' Oswald Peraza: Handling near-everyday role

Peraza will start at third base and bat seventh in Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

Since being recalled up from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre last weekend, Peraza has essentially settled into the near-everyday role in the Yankees infield that Josh Donaldson (hamstring) had been filling prior to landing on the 10-day injured list. Peraza has started at either second or third base in five of the past six games and is getting on base at a .438 clip while scoring three runs and adding a stolen base since receiving the call to the majors.

  • Nick Maton DH | CHW

Tigers' Nick Maton: Takes seat Sunday

Maton is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Orioles.

Maton will take a seat after going 0-for-20 at the dish over his last five games to drop his season average to .131. With Maton on the bench, Zach McKinstry and Jonathan Schoop will pick up starts at third base and second base, respectively.

  • Josh Jung 3B | TEX

Rangers' Josh Jung: Runs hit streak to double digits

Jung went 2-for-6 with two RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 18-3 win over Oakland.

Jung laced a two-run single as part of a five-run second inning to extend his hitting streak to 10 consecutive games. He's gone 14-for-42 during the streak with three extra-base hits, six RBI and eight runs while striking out 16 times.

  • Matt Duffy 3B | TEX

Royals' Matt Duffy: Three hits, three runs in win

Duffy went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, a walk, one RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's 11-8 win over the Angels.

Duffy continues to make the most of limited playing time -- this was his third multi-hit effort of the season. The infielder has gone 6-for-15 (.400) over his last five games. For the season, he owns a .394/.412/.545 slash line with a home run, four RBI, four runs scored and a 1:6 BB:K across 34 plate appearances. Duffy's been used more as a reserve than a platoon option, starting five times against southpaws and four times against righties. With Michael Massey, Nicky Lopez and Hunter Dozier all scuffling, Duffy could see an uptick in playing time until his bat cools off.

  • Ramon Urias 3B | STL

Orioles' Ramon Urias: Drives in three

Urias went 1-for-3 with a three-run double in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Tigers.

Urias provided a big hit in the third inning, lacing a bases-loaded double to give Baltimore a 4-0 lead. The infielder hadn't driven in a run since April 10 versus Oakland. He's maintained a .240/.356/.380 slash line with a home run, seven RBI, seven runs scored, four doubles and a 5:19 BB:K through 59 plate appearances this season, though it's his solid defense that will help him stay in the lineup when his bat's cold.
