Luis Urias 2B | ATH
Mariners' Luis Urias: Draws rare start Sunday
Urias drew his first start since Sept. 4 in Sunday's win over the Rangers and went 0-for-3 with a hit-by-pitch and a run.
Urias was making his first appearance of any kind since that game, one in which he'd rapped out three extra-base hits and knocked in four runs. Despite that stellar performance, Urias had not been able to crack the starting nine again with Josh Rojas healthy and getting regular run at the hot corner. Urias limped to a .152 average and .580 OPS across his first 35 games at the big-league level this season before being demoted to Triple-A Tacoma, but he'd earned a call back up by posting a strong .260 average and .789 OPS across 78 games with the Rainiers.

Bryan Ramos 3B | BAL
White Sox's Bryan Ramos: Goes deep in win
Ramos went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, a double and a walk in Sunday's win over Oakland.
Ramos' solo shot in the sixth inning proved to be the game-deciding run. It was his second career home run and both have come in his last six appearances. The rookie third baseman is slashing .209/.250/.343 with five extra-base hits through 22 games.

Yoan Moncada 3B | LAA
White Sox's Yoan Moncada: Activation imminent
Moncada (adductor) joined the White Sox on Sunday and is expected to be activated from the 60-day injured list Monday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
The 29-year-old has been sidelined since April due to an adductor strain, but he's apparently ready to rejoin the active roster after a 12-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte. Moncada played in just 11 games prior to the injury, but he'll look to finish the season strong as he likely heads into free agency this offseason, since the White Sox are a strong bet to decline his $25 million club option for 2025.

Miguel Vargas 2B | CHW
White Sox's Miguel Vargas: Losing work to Ramos
Vargas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.
Vargas will take a seat for the second day in a row and for the third time in five contests. Bryan Ramos appears to have supplanted Vargas as Chicago's preferred option at third base, though both players could see their opportunities dry up if Yoan Moncada (adductor) is able to return from the injured list later in the week.

Jose Miranda 3B | MIN
Twins' Jose Miranda: Sits for third time in four games
Miranda is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Reds,
On the bench for the third time in four games against a right-hander, Miranda looks as though he'll have to settle for more of a part-time role after the Twins recently welcomed Byron Buxton and Carlos Correa back from the injured list. Miranda should still have a regular spot in the lineup against left-handed pitching.

Jace Jung 2B | DET
Tigers' Jace Jung: Not in Sunday's lineup

Jung has a .619 OPS through his first 24 big-league games and is hitting .227 over 22 at-bats in September, and he will head to the bench Sunday as southpaw Cade Povich takes the mound for Baltimore. Andy Ibanez will receive a start at third base and bat leadoff in the series finale.

Nick Maton DH | CHW
Orioles' Nick Maton: Loses roster spot
The Orioles designated Maton for assignment Sunday.
He'll give up his spot on the roster to outfielder/designated hitter Heston Kjerstad (concussion), who was reinstated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move. After being called up from Triple-A Norfolk on Sept. 2, Maton saw action in five games for the Orioles and went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts.
