Segura went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and two walks in Thursday's 5-4 win over the White Sox.

The stellar leadoff man shows no sign of slowing down, with Thursday's effort extending his hitting streak to a career-high 17 games. Segura's homer, a 393-foot shot to left in the fifth that plated Jarrod Dyson and Carlos Ruiz, was his first since May 3, and he's now slashing .394/.456/.549 over 79 plate appearances during the current month.

Machado (finger) thinks he'll be in the lineup Friday after missing Thursday's contest, Brittany Ghiroli of MLB.com reports.

According to Machado, he could've played through the finger ailment Thursday but was "benched" by manager Buck Showalter. All signs are pointing toward the stud third baseman returning to play Friday, but nothing is set in stone until the lineup is officially released.

Urshela is hitting .292 with six extra-base hits (two home runs) over 17 games this month with Triple-A Columbus.

The infielder has yet to return to MLB since hitting .225 in 81 games for the Indians in 2015. Indians management doesn't seem too interested in Urshela, passing him up in favor of other options (like Yandy Diaz and Erik Gonzalez) when the big-league squad has been in need of depth this year. A main reason the 25-year-old gets overlooked is because he fails to offer the positional flexibility that the other guys do. The way things are trending now, Urshela may be in for another full season at Triple-A.

Machado is not in the Orioles' lineup Thursday due to a sore right index finger, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

The Orioles released their lineup late to check on the status of some injured players, per Kubatko, presumably including their star. Machado is likely day-to-day, but we'll keep tabs on future reports. For now, Ryan Flaherty subs at third base and bats seventh.

Segura went 1-for-4 with a two-run single and a run in Wednesday's 4-0 win over the Athletics.

Segura extended his hitting streak to 16 games with a fifth-inning single that plated Boog Powell and Guillermo Heredia, extending the Mariners' lead to 3-0. The 27-year-old is now slashing .397/.446/.515 and boasts a .418 wOBA over 74 plate appearances in May, while also leading the Mariners in hits (46) and the AL in batting average (.359).

Moncada was placed on the 7-day disabled list Wednesday with a bruised left thumb, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.

X-rays came back clean, so Moncada's placement on the disabled list seems more precautionary. He described the injury as nagging, so the White Sox will likely give the top prospect ample time to heal before getting him back in action. Moncada is off to a healthy start at Triple-A this season, slashing .331/.401/.504 with six homers and 10 stolen bases through 34 games.

Valencia went 2-for-3 with a walk in Tuesday's 9-6 loss to the Athletics. He was also caught stealing on his only attempt.

The veteran infielder has snapped out of an early-season funk, with Tuesday's pair of hits boosting his May line to .345/.410/.545 with two doubles, three home runs and 11 RBI. Valencia hit just .181 in April, but he's raised his season average 73 points to .252 by hitting safely in 12 of his 14 games this month. The 31-year-old has also doubled his .222 BABIP from April to .444, while his hard contact rate has shot up from 23.6 to 38.5 percent thus far in May.

Manager John Gibbons said Donaldson (calf) won't return from the disabled list this weekend, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports.

While it was reported earlier that a return for this weekend's series against the Orioles was possible, that has now been ruled out. Gibbons noted that Donaldson didn't suffer any setbacks, but rather the Blue Jays were just overly optimistic about his return date. An updated return date wasn't provided, though it seems the star third baseman will likely be back in action sometime in the next week or so.

Reyes will miss six-to-eight weeks after having surgery on his broken right pinky finger, MASN's Steve Melewski reports.

According to MASN's Roch Kubatko, Reyes broke his finger by punching a wall. It's a shame for the top prospect, as he was making headway through the Orioles' lower levels. Based on the initial timeline, Reyes will return to High-A Frederick in late June.

Duffy (heel) will continue to rest and be reevaluated Friday, Marc Topkin of Tampa Bay Times reports.

Duffy had been working his way through multiple minor-league rehab games before being temporarily shut down this week. An update on his condition should become available following his medical evaluation Friday.
