  • Royals' Jonathan India: Cleared to start Sunday

India (forearm/wrist) will serve as the Royals' designated hitter and leadoff batter in Sunday's game against the Blue Jays.

India suffered a left wrist/forearm contusion when he was struck by a pitch in the third inning of Saturday's 4-2 loss, but he apparently made enough progress overnight to rejoin the lineup for the series finale. With India occupying the DH spot, the Royals will have Adam Frazier pick up a start at the keystone.

  • Miguel Rojas 2B | LAD

Dodgers' Miguel Rojas: Hitting bench Sunday

Rojas is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.

The Dodgers appear to be prioritizing rookie Alex Freeland in the infield over Rojas at the moment, as the veteran will sit for the second time in the series. Both players will see their opportunities trend downward when Max Muncy (knee) returns from the injured list however, which is likely to happen during the upcoming week.

  • Gleyber Torres 2B | DET

Tigers' Gleyber Torres: Slugs 13th home run

Torres went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Phillies.

Torres has started August with home runs on consecutive days to get to 13 long balls for the season. The veteran has been on a more extended power binge with four home runs over his last six games. Torres offers good pop for a middle infielder, and he also has a strong .277/.374/.433 slash line across 99 games in what's been a productive debut campaign with the Tigers.

  • Willi Castro RF | CHC

Cubs' Willi Castro: Productive in team debut

Castro went 2-for-4 with a triple and two runs scored in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Orioles.

After getting traded over from Minnesota on Thursday, Castro made his Chicago debut Saturday, starting at second base and batting sixth. The 28-year-old figures to move around the field for the Cubs, picking up starts at multiple positions and allowing other regulars to get some rest. Castro is slashing .248/.337/.415 with 50 runs scored across 87 games this season, and despite not having an everyday spot, he should play often enough in Chicago to maintain fantasy value.

  • Brice Turang 2B | MIL

Brewers' Brice Turang: Hits two doubles in win

Turang went 3-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and a run scored during Saturday's 8-2 win over Washington.

Turang did not play Friday after going 1-for-10 with an RBI and three strikeouts during the Brewers' previous series against the Cubs. He was much better at the plate in Saturday's contest, recording at least three hits for the seventh time this season -- a performance highlighted by his RBI double in the eighth. Turang is slashing .275/.342/.371 with 19 steals, six home runs, 45 RBI and 63 runs scored over 446 plate appearances this season.

  • Orlando Arcia 3B | COL

Rockies' Orlando Arcia: Hits third homer of 2025

Arcia went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Saturday's 8-5 win over Pittsburgh.

After bringing home a run on a groundout in the sixth frame, Arcia gave the Rockies an 8-4 lead in the eighth with a solo shot off Genesis Cabrera to left-center field. It was just the third home run of the season for Arcia, with his last taking place June 29 against the Brewers. He has recorded a hit in each of his last five starts, going 5-for-18 (.278) over that span.

  • Ketel Marte 2B | ARI

Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Lifts 21st homer

Marte went 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk and two RBI in Saturday's 7-2 win over the Athletics.

Marte has gone 9-for-30 (.300) during the first eight games of the Diamondbacks' current road trip, which wraps up Sunday. The second baseman opened the scoring early with his solo shot in the first inning and plated the tying run on a groundout in the fifth inning. He continues to provide a steady bat in the top third of the order, slashing .288/.390/.553 with 21 homers, 44 RBI, 56 runs scored, 15 doubles and two stolen bases across 79 games this season.

  • Ryan Bliss SS | SEA

Mariners' Ryan Bliss: Fields grounders Saturday

Bliss (biceps) took grounders on the field ahead of Saturday's game against the Rangers, per MLB.com.

Bliss is recovering from a left biceps tear, which has kept him sidelined for nearly four months. At this point, the Mariners are hoping that the 25-year-old second baseman will be able to at least return by the end of the season, so he's increasingly unlikely to have any fantasy relevance in 2025. The lefty-hitting Cole Young should continue to serve as Seattle's primary option at the keystone in Bliss' stead.

  • Guardians' Daniel Schneemann: Reaches 10-homer mark

Schneemann went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and two total runs scored in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Twins.

Schneemann had gone 14 games without a homer, batting a modest .238 (10-for-42) in that span, but he ended the power drought in the third inning. Schneemann had been seeing a decent share of playing time in right field, but the promotion of C.J. Kayfus will likely lead to Schneemann slipping into more of a utility role. He has primarily played against right-handed pitchers this season, logging just 43 of his 286 plate appearances against southpaws. The 28-year-old hasn't done enough to earn a larger role, slashing .226/.312/.397 with 10 homers, 29 RBI, 35 runs scored, 13 doubles and eight stolen bases across 89 games.

  • Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC

Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Three hits against O's

Hoerner went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Orioles.

Getting a rare start at shortstop while Dansby Swanson received a day off, Hoerner banged out three of the Cubs' eight hits on the afternoon, with two of them bringing home runs. It was Hoerner's sixth multi-hit performance in 14 games since the All-Star break, a stretch in which the 28-year-old infielder is batting .358 (19-for-53) with a homer, three steals, seven runs and seven RBI.
