Ji-Hwan Bae 2B | NYM
Pirates' Ji Hwan Bae: Takes seat Monday
Bae is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Cardinals, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Bae returned Friday from an extended stint on the injured list Friday and enjoyed a productive weekend in the Pirates' series with Minnesota. He started and served as the Bucs' leadoff hitter in all three contests, going 3-for-11 with two doubles, three walks, two runs and one RBI. Though he'll hit the bench Monday, Bae should have a relatively clear path to playing time at either second base or in center field for the rest of the season so long as health prevails.

Nicky Lopez 3B | CHC
Braves' Nicky Lopez: Hits bench versus lefty
Lopez is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets.
Lopez appears to have taken over as Atlanta's primary second baseman since Ozzie Albies (hamstring) landed on the injured list last week. While starting each of the past six games, Lopez went 5-for-17 with two walks, three RBI, one run and one stolen base. Each of those starts came against right-handed pitching, but the lefty-hitting Lopez will retreat to the bench Monday in favor of Vaughn Grissom while Atlanta opposes southpaw David Peterson.

Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Homers Sunday
Torres went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Sunday's loss to the Red Sox.
Torres tied the game 2-2 with his solo homer off Nick Pivetta in the sixth inning. The 26-year-old Torres is now batting .308 (40-for-130) with six homers and a .866 OPS in 33 games since the All-Star break. Overall, his slash line is up to .267/.335/.440 with 19 homers, 66 runs scored, 50 RBI and 12 steals across 520 plate appearances this season.

Michael Massey 2B | KC
Royals' Michael Massey: Swipes bag Sunday
Massey went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's loss to the Cubs.
Massey kicked things off with an RBI-single in the first inning and wound up stealing second before the frame concluded. The 25-year-old has posted three multi-hit efforts over his last seven games and has racked up five RBI over that span. Though his numbers aren't spectacular for the season, Massey has quietly been productive over the last month of games. Since July 21, he's hitting .275/.306/.500 with six homers, 19 RBI, 28 runs and a 5:12 BB:K. Massey has hit third in the lineup every day since Aug. 7, including three starts against same-handed pitchers.

Harold Castro 2B | KC
Rockies' Harold Castro: Drives in two Sunday
Castro went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's 10-5 loss to the White Sox.
Castro has seen limited playing time in August, with this being just his seventh game this month. He's gone 4-for-14 with four RBI in that span. The 29-year-old is slashing .267/.283/.332 with one home run, 29 RBI, 23 runs scored and 12 doubles through 241 plate appearances this season. With Brendan Rodgers heating up over the last week, Castro's best path to playing time at second base appears to be closing up.

Lenyn Sosa 2B | TOR
White Sox's Lenyn Sosa: Delivers three-run homer
Sosa went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run in Sunday's 10-5 win over the Rockies.
Sosa didn't start the contest, but he entered as the replacement when Elvis Andrus was ejected for yelling from the dugout. The blast was Sosa's second of the campaign, and he's gone 3-for-9 with five RBI over three games since he was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte. The infielder is at a middling .156/.167/.273 slash line with eight RBI and five runs scored over 79 plate appearances. His time as a regular in the lineup may come to a close when Tim Anderson's suspension ends Wednesday.

Josh Rojas 3B | CHW
Mariners' Josh Rojas: Two steals in win
Rojas went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and two stolen bases in Sunday's 7-6 win over the Astros.
Rojas' two steals Sunday were his first since May 29 -- he's now 8-for-8 on stolen base attempts this season. The 29-year-old Rojas has been swinging the bat better of late, going 8-for-25 (.320) with a home run over his last eight contests while serving as Seattle's primary second baseman. Overall, Rojas is slashing .225/.286/.300 with 31 runs scored and 30 RBI across 256 plate appearances between the Mariners and Diamondbacks this season.

Thairo Estrada 2B | BAL
Giants' Thairo Estrada: Dealing with hand issue
Manager Gabe Kapler said after Sunday's win over Atlanta that Estrada will likely undergo an X-ray after being hit in the hand by a pitch, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Estrada was hit by a pitch on his right hand in the top of the ninth inning Sunday and was able to remain in the game afterward, but he'll likely undergo further testing to determine the extent of the injury. He was productive during Sunday's matchup, going 2-for-4 with a double and a run. Whether he'll be available for Monday's series opener in Philadelphia remains to be seen.

Elvis Andrus 2B | ARI
White Sox's Elvis Andrus: Ejected Sunday
Andrus was ejected from Sunday's game against the Rockies in the top of the sixth inning for yelling from the dugout, Vinnie Duber of AllCHGO.com reports.
Andrus went 0-for-3 to begin Sunday's matchup and was unable to finish the game due to his ejection. However, it seems unlikely that his ejection will result in further discipline, so he should be available for Monday's series opener against the Mariners.
