Matt McLain 2B | CIN
Reds' Matt McLain: Handed night off
McLain is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.
The Reds will give Spencer Steer a look at second base while McLain takes a seat after starting in the team's last three games. Though McLain has most commonly been deployed out of the No. 2 spot this season, he's made his last two starts as the Reds' No. 9 hitter while manager Terry Francona has handed the hot-hitting Blake Dunn more opportunities near the top of the lineup. McLain's slide down the batting order coincides with him recording just three hits and striking out 11 times in 34 at-bats over his last eight games.

Nasim Nunez 2B | WAS
Nationals' Nasim Nunez: Hitting bench Wednesday
Nunez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.
Jorbit Vivas will fill in at second base for Nunez, who went 6-for-30 with a pair of steals, two RBI and three runs while starting in each of the last eight games. Nunez continues to be a drain in batting average (.189 over 164 at-bats) and hasn't hit a home run this season, but his MLB-leading 22 stolen bases have enabled him to maintain fantasy relevance.

Vaughn Grissom 1B | LAA
Angels' Vaughn Grissom: Clubs grand slam in big win
Grissom went 3-for-5 with a home run and six RBI in Tuesday's 10-6 win over the Tigers.
The 25-year-old infielder got the Angels on the board with a two-run single in the third inning before launching his first career grand slam off Will Vest in the eighth to put his team in the lead for good. Grissom snapped a 2-for-28 skid with the big performance, and since joining the big-league roster in mid-April he's slashing .233/.308/.379 with three homers, eight runs and 19 RBI in 32 games while seeing action at first base, second base and third base. Advanced stats paint a rosier picture, however -- his 91.0 mph average exit velocity and 47.9 percent hard-hit rate are comparable to Mike Trout's.

Alex Freeland 2B | LAD
Dodgers' Alex Freeland: Set to rejoin big club
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said after Tuesday's 15-6 win over the Rockies that Freeland will be recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to Wednesday's series finale, Sonja Chen of MLB.com reports.
Freeland will be rejoining the 26-man active roster as a replacement for Enrique Hernandez, who will be headed back to the shelf after straining his oblique just two days after being reinstated from the 60-day injured list. The Dodgers designated Santiago Espinal for assignment to clear room on the roster for Hernandez, so the addition of Freeland will strengthen the club's infield depth. After breaking camp with the big club, Freeland slashed .235/.309/.337 with two home runs and eight RBI through 33 games before the Dodgers optioned him to Triple-A on May 11, when shortstop Mookie Betts returned from a stint on the IL. During his upcoming stint with Los Angeles, Freeland is likely to occupy the short side of a platoon at second base with Hyeseong Kim or at third base with Max Muncy (wrist).

Ezequiel Duran SS | TEX
Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Back at shortstop
Duran started at shortstop and went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 10-7 win over Houston.
Duran spent the last two games at third base but returned to shortstop with Josh Jung returning to the hot corner Tuesday. The versatile Duran is getting steady work as a replacement for injured infielders and will continue on as the shortstop until Corey Seager (back) is ready to return. Duran has been rolling the last week, going 10-for-30 with one home run and 11 RBI over the last eight contests.

Ketel Marte 2B | ARI
Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte: Adds insurance with homer
Marte went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 7-5 win over the Giants.
Marte extended his hitting streak to 10 games when he took Erik Miller deep in the seventh inning. The second baseman has been scorching hot in that span, going 22-for-42 (.524) with four homers, 17 RBI and seven multi-hit efforts. The surge has him batting .273 with an .802 OPS on the year, and he's added nine homers, 32 RBI, 34 runs scored, 11 doubles, two triples and zero stolen bases over 51 contests. Marte has made a home for himself atop Arizona's order and is still tracking toward a quality year in run production.

Jazz Chisholm 2B | NYY
Yankees' Jazz Chisholm: Gets in on offensive onslaught
Chisholm went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, a walk and two total runs scored in a 15-1 victory on Kansas City on Tuesday.
Every Yankees starter had multiple hits Tuesday, so Chisholm's big performance was relatively quiet. The veteran infielder nonetheless made his fantasy managers happy with a solo shot to right-center field in the eighth inning. Chisholm has been swinging a hot bat in the latter half of May, batting .405 (17-for-42) with a pair of long balls, eight runs, six RBI and two stolen bases over 11 contests since May 15.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa 2B | BOS
Red Sox's Isiah Kiner-Falefa: Drives in three against Atlanta
Kiner-Falefa went 2-for-3 with a solo homer, three RBI, one walk, a stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 7-6 loss to Atlanta.
Kiner-Falefa received the nod at third base Tuesday, marking his fourth start on the left side of the infield in the last seven days. With Marcelo Mayer taking over at shortstop the last couple games, Kiner-Falefa appears to be primarily vying for playing time at third base, where he'll face competition for reps from Caleb Durbin and Nick Sogard. Kiner-Falefa now has a pair of multi-hit games over the past week after he slugged a home run off lefty Dylan Lee in the seventh inning before producing a two-run single off Raisel Iglesias in the ninth. Kiner-Falefa is slashing .278/.350/.370 with one home run, nine RBI, seven runs scored, four stolen bases and a 6:9 BB:K across 61 plate appearances this season.

Ernie Clement 2B | TOR
Blue Jays' Ernie Clement: Extends hit streak with solo homer
Clement went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during the Blue Jays' 8-1 win over the Marlins on Tuesday.
Clement got the Blue Jays on the board early with a solo homer off Sandy Alcantara in the second inning. Clement has gone deep in back-to-back games and is now on a nine-game hitting streak. For the season, he is slashing .298/.323/.452 with two steals, five home runs, 20 RBI and 22 runs over 217 plate appearances. Clement leads the American League with 17 doubles while ranking second in hits and seventh in batting average.
