Julien will start at second base and bat leadoff in Tuesday's contest against the Mets.

It marks the third straight game that Julien has batted leadoff and the eighth game in a row that he's been in the lineup. Previous leadoff man Matt Wallner is hitting third for the Twins on Tuesday.

Baldwin is not in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Athletics.

Baldwin has been serving in a super-utility role for the White Sox but will begin Tuesday's festivities on the bench. He's seen most of his action in the corner-outfield spots lately, but Chicago will go with Michael Taylor in left field and Joshua Palacios in right field Tuesday.

Holliday is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Guardians, Cordell Woodland of 105.7 The Fan Baltimore reports.

With lefty Logan Allen on the mound for Cleveland, Holliday is taking a seat, and Jorge Mateo is making the start at second base and batting ninth for Baltimore. Holliday has received just nine plate appearances against left-handed pitching this season, registering a pair of singles, two RBI and a 1:3 BB:K. Holliday should draw back into the lineup Wednesday against right-hander Gavin Williams.

The Reds reinstated McLain (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

The 25-year-old has been sidelined since April 4 due to the hamstring strain, but he's ready to rejoin the active roster after a brief stay on the injured list. Prior to the injury, McLain had yet to find much consistency with a .214 average through 31 plate appearances, though he flashed his power with three home runs.

McNeil (oblique) will continue his rehab assignment with Single-A St. Lucie through Thursday before his assignment is shifted to Triple-A Syracuse, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

McNeil will presumably remain with Syracuse through the weekend before the Mets decide whether he's ready to return from the 10-day injured list at the beginning of next week. The veteran infielder is bouncing back from a right oblique strain and has already played two games for St. Lucie, going 2-for-5 with a walk and a run.

Acuna went 2-for-3 with a walk, two runs scored and a stolen base in Monday's 5-1 win over the Twins.

The 23-year-old made an impact from the bottom of the batting order, continuing a hot streak in which he has gone 6-for-14 over his last four games with three steals and six runs scored. After the game, manager Carlos Mendoza essentially confirmed that Acuna has pulled ahead of Brett Baty in the battle for playing time at second base, with the skipper noting that Acuna will start against another right-handed pitcher (Bailey Ober) on Tuesday, per Tim Healey of Newsday. Jeff McNeil (oblique) is closing in on a return from the 10-day injured list and will eventually take over as the Mets' primary second baseman, but Acuna's ability to play center field will likely improve his odds of sticking around in the big leagues since Jose Siri (tibia) appears headed for a lengthy absence.

Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said that Mauricio (knee) is scheduled to serve as the designated hitter in an extended spring training game Tuesday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Mauricio will be participating in his first game action since December 2023, when he suffered a torn ACL in his right knee while playing in the Dominican Winter League. The 24-year-old infielder has faced a longer recovery than initially anticipated, as he required a follow-up procedure July 30, 2024 to remove scar tissue from the knee. He was eased along slowly this spring, but Mauricio is finally ready to test himself in a competitive environment, albeit in a controlled setting and in a non-defensive role. Mauricio could still be multiple weeks away from being ready to play the infield, and the Mets haven't yet offered a concrete timeline for him to be fully cleared.

Rodgers (hip) went 0-for-1 Monday against the Cardinals.

Rodgers has been sidelined for four straight games with a hip issue, though he has done some defensive work before games and the team remains confident he'll avoid a trip to the injured list. He entered Monday's game as a pinch hitter in the eighth inning while serving as the designated hitter. Though he didn't hit the field, Rodgers' involvement was another positive sign that his return to the lineup may not be far off.

Campbell started in center field and went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 16-1 loss to Tampa Bay.

Campbell's offense was the lone bright spot in an otherwise embarrassing night for the Red Sox. They committed one official error, but there were a couple of hits that could have been ruled errors and misplays in the field, including by Campbell, who made his third outfield start. The rookie is doing well offensively, posting a .972 OPS with four doubles, three home runs, six RBI, one steal and 11 runs through 17 games.

Donovan went 4-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI in Monday's 8-3 win over Houston.

The Astros were unable to get Donovan out Monday, as he reached base in all four of his trips to the plate. It was the fourth time this season that the utility man has gotten at least three hits in a game, and he's off to a hot start with the bat, logging a .391/.420/.563 slash line through 69 plate appearances. Donovan is also in the midst of a 10-game hitting streak, during which he's batted a scorching .513 (20-for-39) with eight RBI.
