Albies went 1-for-4 with a double in Friday's loss to the Brewers.

The double was his 29th of the year and 50th extra-base hit. The second baseman leads the National League in both categories, and Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports that Albies is now the second-fastest Brave in history to reach 50 extra-base hits in a season, with only the legendary Hank Aaron ahead of him in the record books. Albies' .280/.320/.517 slash line isn't too shabby either.

Altuve went 3-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored in Friday's 11-4 win over the White Sox.

Altuve had been slumping, hitting just .154 over his last 26-at-bats, when he delivered the first of his three singles in the third inning Friday. The multi-hit night, his second in his last 14 games, pushed him back atop the major-league lead in batting average at .337.

Arroyo (oblique) is close to starting a rehab assignment, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Arroyo has been on the disabled list since June 16, and he's reportedly been limited in his physical activity since that point. The 23-year-old has been participating in range-of-motion and core stabilization exercises, and it appears those have helped him progress to the point where he's ready to return to game action. Based on manager Kevin Cash's comments about Arroyo's rehab assignment being imminent, another update on the infielder is likely in the coming days.

Sweeney was outrighted to Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.

Sweeney returned to the minors following Sunday's loss to the Tigers and is now off the 40-man roster to make room for Thomas Pannone's return from suspension. Sweeney has a .228/.309/.430 slash line with six home runs and 62 strikeouts in 158 at-bats with the Bisons this season.

Motter (concussion) was activated off the 7-day concussion disabled list Friday and optioned to Triple-A Rochester, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.

The 28-year-old spent the minimum seven days on the concussion DL but the Twins will opt to keep Willians Astudillo on the 25-man roster as a utility man for the time being. Motter has struggled at the plate in the majors and the minors this season, batting below the Mendoza Line at both levels.

Herrera was recalled from Triple-A Louisville on Friday.

Herrera hasn't played in a major-league game since the 2015 season with the Mets. Across 50 contests with Louisville this season, he's hit .297/.367/.465 with seven home runs and 27 RBI. Look for him to serve as added infield depth, particularly behind Scooter Gennett at the keystone.

Marte went 2-for-4 with a double, a two-run home run and two runs scored Thursday against the Padres.

Marte bounced back from two consecutive hitless performances by driving his seventh home run of the season over the left field wall in the eighth inning. He was one of the few Diamondbacks who was able to muster anything at the plate Thursday, though this was only his second multi-hit game since June 22. After hitting very well in the first half of June, Marte has come back to earth of late, hitting just .222/.239/.378 over the past 15 days.

Albies went 2-for-4 with a double, a triple, a run scored and an RBI in a 7-2 loss to the Brewers on Thursday.

Albies is now .500 (7-for-14) with three extra-base hits over the last three games, bringing him to a ridiculous 49 extra-base hits in 371 at-bats this season. The 21-year-old phenom is meeting all expectations and blowing them out of the water at this point, and fantasy owners that jumped on him early in the draft continue to reap the benefits.

Rodriguez went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored in Thursday's loss to the Rangers.

Rodriguez was recalled from Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday after Dixon Machado was designated for assignment, and he got the start at third base Thursday. The 26-year-old figures to serve in a reserve infielder role moving forward, though he could push for more playing time if he strings together more good performances.

Tomlinson was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

As expected, Tomlinson was sent back to the minor leagues following Johnny Cueto's activation from the disabled list. In 48 games for San Francisco, Tomlinson hit .221 with five extra-base hits and nine RBI.
