Biggio will start at second base in his major-league debut Friday against the Padres, Jim Bowden of The Athletic reports.

Biggio is being called up from Triple-A Buffalo after posting a .307/.445/.504 slash line through 42 games in his first season at Triple-A. The 24-year-old has seen action everywhere in the field besides catcher and center field over the last two seasons, but his first taste of the big leagues will come at the keystone.

Lux went 4-for-5 with a home run and two RBI for Double-A Tulsa on Wednesday.

Lux is one of the hottest hitters in the minors at the moment, as this was his second straight game with a homer as part of his current nine-game hitting streak. The 2016 first-round pick is hitting .320 in the month of May and sports an excellent .314/.372/.575 slash line with 10 long balls through 37 Double-A games.

The son of Craig Biggio is set to be the second son of a Hall of Famer (following Vladimir Guerrero Jr.) to debut in Toronto within a month. He's gotten off to an excellent start for Triple-A Buffalo this year, posting a .306/.440/.507 line in 41 games with more walks (32) than strikeouts (28). Biggio has played everywhere except center field and catcher in the last two seasons, so the Blue Jays will have plenty of places to fit him into the lineup.

Beckham will start at shortstop and bat leadoff Thursday against the Marlins, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Beckham will bat out of the leadoff spot for the second straight day, with the two starts coming on rest days for everyday infielders Dawel Lugo and Josh Harrison. Though neither Lugo nor Harrison has done much to warrant regular at-bats, Beckham won't necessarily earn serious consideration for steady playing time due to his status as a 32-year-old journeyman on a rebuilding club.

Semien went 2-for-4 with a walk, stolen base and run in a win over the Indians on Wednesday.

Semien put together another rock-solid leadoff effort and hit safely for the fourth straight game in the process. The veteran shortstop has racked up four extra-base hits (three doubles, one triple) during that span as well, and he's boosted his season average back up eight points after it had dropped to a season-low .259 last Friday following an 0-for-4 showing versus the Tigers.

Drury will start in left field and bat fifth Thursday against the Red Sox, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Drury no longer has a clear path to everyday duties at any position, but his willingness to embrace a utility role has nonetheless opened up steady at-bats for him of late. He'll pick up a fourth straight start Thursday, including his second consecutive turn in left field.

Rosario will start at shortstop and lead off Thursday against the Nationals, Matt Ehalt of Yahoo Sports reports.

Brandon Nimmo (neck) and Jeff McNeil (hamstring) have been the Mets' primary leadoff options this season, but with both landing on the injured list recently, Rosario appears poised to fill the table-setting role for the time being. The leadoff assignment could translate to more running opportunities for Rosario, who hasn't attempted a steal since May 5.

Lowe went 2-for-4 with an RBI single and a run in a win over the Dodgers on Wednesday.

Lowe has now hit safely in six of the last seven games, and Wednesday's multi-hit effort was his sixth of May. The rookie has impressively been able to follow up his stellar April (.321) with a second consecutive strong month, hitting .288 with eight extra-base hits (four doubles, four home runs), 11 RBI, three walks and nine runs across his last 17 contests.

Guillorme was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday, Matt Ehalt of Yahoo Sports reports.

Robinson Cano (quad) and Jeff McNeil (hamstring) landed on the injured list Thursday morning, and Guillorme was summoned to help fill the cracks. The 24-year-old defensive wiz was hitting .278/.402/.361 at Triple-A. He has a career .200 average over 93 MLB plate appearances. Given the amount of injuries the Mets are dealing with, he could see starts at second base in the short term.

The Mets placed McNeil (hamstring) on the 10-day injured list Thursday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

After sitting out Wednesday's game against the Nationals while managing a tight left hamstring, McNeil was expected to check back into the lineup for the series finale. Instead, he'll now be sidelined for at least the next week and a half after manager Mickey Callaway said Thursday that McNeil's tight hamstring was significant enough to necessitate extra time off. With Robinson Cano (quadriceps) also moving to the IL, the Mets have now lost four members of their Opening Day lineup to injuries. Cano and McNeil will join outfielders Michael Conforto (concussion) and Brandon Nimmo (neck) on the IL.
