Dubon went 2-for-3 with an RBI single, a run scored and a walk in Friday's 9-2 win over the Rangers.

Dubon made an impact from the No. 9 spot in the batting order, providing an insurance run when he scored catcher Chadwick Tromp with a single in the sixth inning. Dubon has hit .238/.273/.286 with two RBI and three runs scored in seven games. The 26-year-old will likely see the short-side role in a shortstop platoon with Brandon Crawford. Dubon can also get time at second base and center field.

Lowe went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 6-3 loss to the Orioles.

He took Paul Fry deep in the fifth inning for his first homer of the year, knotting the score at 3-3 and taking Blake Snell off the hook for a loss. Lowe had gone 0-for-8 with four strikeouts over the prior two games, but the streaky infielder is still batting a robust .300 (9-for-30) to begin the season with six RBI in eight games.

Hernandez is not starting Friday against Arizona, Eric Stephen of TrueBlueLA.com reports.

Hernandez opened the year with five straight starts but now sits for the second time in the last three games. Chris Taylor takes over at second base.

McNeil will hit the bench for the first time this season Friday against Atlanta, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

McNeil started each of the Mets' first seven games, hitting .308 while driving in five runs. Andres Gimenez will start at the hot corner in his absence. McNeil's absence comes against a lefty (Sean Newcomb), but don't expect him to fall into a platoon role any time soon, as he's already started five times against southpaws so far this season.

Albies is battling a stiff right wrist but is available off the bench Friday, 680 The Fan Atlanta reports.

The minor injury explains why Albies will be out of the lineup for the first time this season Friday against the Mets. He's expected to return to the lineup Saturday, pushing Adeiny Hechavarria back to the bench.

Hoerner is not in the lineup Friday against the Pirates.

Hoerner has started the year quite well, hitting .389 with five RBI through five games. He'll hit the bench for the second time this season Friday, with Jason Kipnis again starting at second base.

Torres (elbow) is starting at shortstop and batting third Friday against the Red Sox.

The 23-year-old was hit by a pitch on the elbow during Thursday's win over the Orioles, but X-rays came back negative and he'll remain in the lineup Friday. Torres is 3-for-15 with one home run, two runs scored and two RBI through five games, with all three hits coming during the same contest.

Albies is not in the lineup Friday against the Mets.

There hasn't been any indication that this is anything other than a routine day off for Albies, who started each of the Braves' first seven games. Adeiny Hechavarria will fill in at second base in his absence.

Diaz is considering opting out of the season, Jon Heyman of MLB Network reports.

It's quite likely that a number of Marlins are rethinking the wisdom of playing baseball during a pandemic after a coronavirus outbreak caused more than half of the team's roster to test positive for the virus. Diaz is reportedly not among that group, but even if he remains healthy and elects to play out the season, it's not clear when he'll next take the field. All of the Marlins' games through the end of the weekend have been postponed due to the outbreak, though the team's upcoming series against the Phillies, which begins Tuesday in Miami, is still on the schedule for now.

Arauz started at second base and went 0-for-3 in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Mets.

Arauz, a Rule 5 draft pick, was making his first start of the season. The Red Sox are maintaining him on the roster while they can carry 30 men, but the challenge will be keeping him around when rosters are reduced to 28 and then 26.
