Yangervis Solarte 2B | SD
Giants' Yangervis Solarte: Hits first 2019 homer
Solarte went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in Saturday's 6-4 loss to the Yankees.
Solarte hit the home run in the ninth inning as the Giants attempted to erase a six-run deficit, though the comeback effort eventually came up short. The 31-year-old is slashing .235/.291/.373 with seven RBI in 51 at-bats.

Enrique Hernandez SS | LAD
Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Heads to bench
Hernandez is not starting Saturday against the Pirates.
Hernandez will sit after making five straight starts. He recorded just a single hit over that stretch and is 2-for-27 over his last nine games. Chris Taylor will start at second base.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Placed on injured list
Hoerner (bruised hand) was placed on the 7-day injured list retroactive to April 24, Double-A Tennessee broadcaster Mick Gillispie reports.
The 21-year-old prospect left Tuesday's game after a pitch hit his left wrist. No structural damage occurred, and he's expected to return at the beginning of May.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: On base three times vs. Rockies
Albies went 2-for-4 with a walk and a run scored in Friday's loss to the Rockies.
In his second full season in the majors, Albies is showing signs of developing into a consistent threat at the top of the order. He's slashing .259/.355/.407 over his last seven games, and while the 22-year-old still isn't as effective on the basepaths as he could be -- he's 3-for-5 on steal attempts this year -- he should get plenty of opportunities to improve that aspect of his game if he keeps reaching base consistently.

Jeff McNeil 2B | ATH
Mets' Jeff McNeil: Bags two two-baggers
McNeil went 2-for-5 with two doubles and a run scored in Friday's loss to the Brewers.
He got the start in left field and hit leadoff, and while at some point the Mets might like Brandon Nimmo to reclaim his spot at the top of the order, McNeil's been a table-setting dynamo in his own right this year, slashing .365/.438/.506 with a homer, 11 RBI and 12 runs through 24 games. The batting average puts the 27-year-old second in the National League behind Cody Bellinger, and if he sticks in the leadoff spot, McNeil's run-scoring potential will soar.

Ozzie Albies 2B | ATL
Braves' Ozzie Albies: Gets breather
Albies is not in the lineup Thursday against the Reds.
Albies will get a well-deserved breather after starting the first 23 games of the season for the Braves, slashing .276/.343/.429 with three homers and three stolen bases during that stretch. Johan Camargo will start at the keystone in his stead, while Nick Markakis will hit leadoff against right-hander Luis Castillo.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Escapes with bruise
Hoerner was diagnosed with a bruised wrist, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Hoerner exited Tuesday's Double-A game after being hit by a pitch in the wrist area, but he appears to be fine after initial tests cleared him of any fracture. The 21-year-old shortstop should be considered day-to-day for now. He's off to a hot start with Double-A Tennessee, slashing .293/.288/.483 with a homer and a steal through 17 games.

Enrique Hernandez SS | LAD
Dodgers' Enrique Hernandez: Leading off in third straight
Hernandez will start at second base and bat leadoff Thursday against the Cubs, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
Hernandez has served as the Dodgers' table setter for all three games of the series with the Cubs deploying left-handed starting pitchers in succession. Though Hernandez has historically crushed opposing southpaws, he didn't have much luck through the first two games in Chicago, managing no hits in seven at-bats.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Pirates' Adam Frazier: Sitting out matinee game
Frazier is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks.
Frazier recently overcame a back injury to start each of the first three games of the series, so he's likely just getting some maintenance with Thursday's contest getting underway at 12:35 p.m. EDT. Colin Moran will spell Frazier at the keystone and bat third.
