Giants' Thairo Estrada: Headed toward IL stint
Manager Bob Melvin said Friday that it's likely Estrada will be placed on the injured list due to an undisclosed injury, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
Pavlovic notes that Estrada has been working through multiple injuries lately and hasn't played in back-to-back games. With the Giants needing to free up a roster spot for the return of LaMonte Wade (hamstring), Estrada could be given an extended break.

The Phillies activated Clemens (back) from the 10-day injured list Friday.

Nico Hoerner 2B | CHC
Cubs' Nico Hoerner: Goes deep, swipes bag in win
Hoerner went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and a stolen base in Thursday's 5-3, 10-inning win over the Giants.
Hoerner blasted his third home run of the season in the third inning with a runner on and also stole his 14th base of the year The infielder is not known as a big power threat, as his career best in homers for a season is only 10, but he is a capable baserunner. Hoerner swiped a career-high 43 bases last year, and he had 20 stolen bases in 2022. Fantasy managers will hope he continues to run frequently the rest of the way.

Cardinals' Nolan Gorman: Resting versus LHP
Gorman isn't in the Cardinals' lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Bryson Stott 2B | PHI
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Out again versus lefty
Stott is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Marlins.
He was out of the lineup Tuesday against a lefty and will also begin this one on the bench as the Marlins send southpaw Trevor Rogers to the hill. Stott did pinch hit in Tuesday's contest, so perhaps another mid-game appearance is possible. Whit Merrifield is handling second base for the Phillies on Thursday.

Levi Jordan 2B | CIN

Jordan started in left field and went 0-for-3 in Wednesday's 6-1 loss to the Pirates.
Jordan was a late addition to the lineup after Jake Fraley was scratched due to a calf issue. The Reds are now dealing with two injuries in the outfield, including TJ Friedl (hamstring), who landed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday.

Bryson Stott 2B | PHI
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Scores three times, swipes bag
Stott went 1-for-3 with a double, three runs scored, a stolen base and a walk in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Tigers.
Stott came around to score every time he reached base in Wednesday's win. The three runs tied a career high, and he added his 20th stolen base of the season. His 20 swipes are the third most stolen bases in the National League behind Elly De La Cruz and Brice Turang. Stott's slash line of .242/.337/.363 isn't overly impressive, but he makes up for it with the solid counting stats.

Xander Bogaerts SS | SD
Padres' Xander Bogaerts: Takes batting practice Wednesday
Bogaerts (shoulder) took batting practice on the field Wednesday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
The Padres haven't divulged a potential timeline for Bogaerts' return from the 10-day injured list, but his ability to take on-field BP for the first time since suffering a fracture in his left shoulder in late May represents a major milestone in the recovery process. A clearer target date for Bogaerts' return could come into focus in the next few weeks once he resumes running and taking reps in the infield.
