  • Luis Arraez 2B | SF

Twins' Luis Arraez: Optioned to Triple-A

Arraez was optioned to Triple-A Rochester on Sunday, LaVelle E. Neal III of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.

Arraez was sent down despite hitting well in his 30 plate appearances with the team, posting a .375/.467/.583 line. He showed impressive ability to make contact, striking out at only a 3.3 percent clip. His demotion likely signals the return of Nelson Cruz (wrist) to begin the team's series at Cleveland on Tuesday.

  • Jack Mayfield 2B | LAA

Astros' Jack Mayfield: Looks like primary shortstop

Mayfield will start at shortstop and bat seventh Sunday against the Athletics, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Mayfield will pick up his fourth start in six games since being promoted from Triple-A Round Rock. Until the Astros get one of Jose Altuve (hamstring), Carlos Correa (ribs) or Aledmys Diaz (hamstring) back from the injured list, Mayfield should have a fairly clear path to steady at-bats in the middle infield, as Houston has thus far resisted moving Alex Bregman off of third base. With one hit and five strikeouts through his first 12 big-league at-bats, however, Mayfield hasn't done much to warrant immediate attention in most fantasy leagues.

  • Cavan Biggio RF | HOU

Blue Jays' Cavan Biggio: Batting fifth Sunday

Biggio will start in right field and bat fifth Sunday against the Rockies, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

With Rowdy Tellez (hamstring) unavailable and Lourdes Gurriel resting, Biggio will slot into the highest spot in the order he's held since being promoted to the big leagues May 24. After missing two games earlier in the week with an illness, Biggio has looked sharp while starting at second base the past two days, going a combined 2-for-6 with two walks, three runs and a stolen base.

  • Michael Chavis 2B | CIN

Red Sox's Michael Chavis: Will be primary first baseman

Chavis will be the primary starter at first base while Mitch Moreland (back) and Steve Pearce (back) are on the injured list, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.

Chavis made his eighth start at first base Saturday, going 0-for-3 with a walk in a loss to the Yankees. After a hot start to his big-league career, Chavis is batting just .207 with a .628 OPS over his last 23 games.

  • Logan Forsythe 2B | LAD

Rangers' Logan Forsythe: Settling into reserve role

Forsythe is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Royals.

With a .302/.406/.475 slash line through 165 plate appearances this season, Forsythe has been exceptionally productive when given the chance to play, but his opportunities have dwindled with the Texas infield back to full strength. Since Elvis Andrus returned from the 10-day injured list May 25, Forsythe has started in only five of the Rangers' nine contests.

  • Nicky Lopez 3B | CHC

Royals' Nicky Lopez: Getting day off

Lopez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers, Joel Goldberg of FOX Sports Kansas City reports.

Lopez will sit for the first time since earning a promotion to the big leagues May 14, ending a streak of 17 straight starts. The 24-year-old got off to a hot start to his MLB career with a .405 on-base percentage in his first nine games, but he's delivered a .139 OBP over the subsequent eight contests. He could be at risk of losing hold of the leadoff gig if he doesn't show improvement upon rejoining the lineup.

  • Tigers' Ronny Rodriguez: Sitting again

Rodriguez is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Braves.

Rodriguez sported a hot bat in the first half of May to earn an everyday role in the middle infield, but he's since fallen into a major slump at the plate. He's gone 4-for-47 while striking out 55.1 percent of the time over his past 14 games, resulting in Brandon Dixon eating into his playing time. Rodriguez will be on the bench for the fourth time in five games and could soon be at risk of a demotion to Triple-A Toledo.

  • Gordon Beckham 2B | SEA

    Tigers' Gordon Beckham: Starting Sunday

Beckham is starting at second base and batting sixth in Sunday's game against the Braves.

Beckham picks up his first start of the Atlanta series, though he did play four innings in Friday's game. The 32-year-old is slashing .229/.319/.446 with three home runs and five RBI in a reserve role for the Tigers this season and is mostly off the fantasy radar, due to his limited playing time and modest production.

  • Blue Jays' Brandon Drury: Out of Saturday's lineup

Drury is not in the lineup for Saturday's game versus the Rockies.

Drury will take a seat for the second straight game despite going 11-for-30 with five doubles and five RBI in his last eight games. Lourdes Gurriel, Jonathan Davis and Randal Grichuk will start from left to right in the outfield for the fifth straight game.

  • Rays' Christian Arroyo: Clubs first homer

Arroyo went 1-for-4 with a solo home run as the Rays fell to the Twins on Saturday.

Arroyo cut the Minnesota lead to four with his blast off Ryne Harper in the eighth inning. The 24-year-old is getting playing time with Yandy Diaz (hand) on the injured list and already has three extra-base hits since he was called up Thursday. Arroyo holds a .231/.286/.423 slash line in 26 at-bats this season.
