Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Playing through wrist issue
Torres has been getting treatment for a wrist issue, but it's not keeping him out of games, Greg Joyce of the New York Post reports.
Torres has been wearing a wrap on his wrist in addition to receiving ice treatment after games, but it hasn't impacted his performance at the plate. In fact, the infielder is in the midst of his best hitting stretch of the season, going 7-for-24 with four homers over his past six contests. Yankees manager Aaron Boone clarified Sunday that the wrist issue isn't a major concern. "He's been getting some treatment for his wrist, but it hasn't been something that's really affected him much at all in the game," Boone said before the game. "Just something he's treating and making sure he does maintenance work on it."

Twins' Edouard Julien: Activated from IL
Julien has been activated from the injured list at Double-A Wichita.

Andy Ibanez 2B | NYM
Rangers' Andy Ibanez: Collects two more hits
Ibanez went 2-for-3 with a walk, a double and a run scored in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Atheltics.
Ibanez is emerging from a three-week slump and has hit safely in three straight games, going 6-for-9 with two doubles, a walk, three RBI and three runs scored over the last three. The 29-year-old infielder, who posted a .277 average in 76 games during his MLB debut in 2021, is up to .214 through 37 contests this season. Ibanez's expected outcome for average is slightly higher than his real-world results.

Danny Mendick 3B | CHW
White Sox's Danny Mendick: Could have increased role
Mendick went 2-for-4 with two runs scored Sunday against the Cubs.
Mendick entered the game at shortstop and served as the White Sox's leadoff hitter once Tim Anderson (groin) was forced from the game. While Anderson is expected to hit the injured list, Leury Garcia (side) is day-to-day. If both Anderson and Garcia remain out, Mendick is likely to serve as the team's primary shortstop.

Christian Arroyo 2B | NYM
Red Sox's Christian Arroyo: Homers in blowout victory
Arroyo went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a strikeout during Sunday's 12-2 win over Baltimore.
Arroyo had sporadic playing time in early May, but he's now started in four of the last five matchups. The 26-year-old has earned his uptick in at-bats by driving in runs during five of his last six games. During that time, Arroyo has hit .250 with two homers, a double, five RBI and three runs. While he should continue to serve as a utility man, his defensive versatility gives him a chance to remain in the lineup while he's swinging a hot bat.

Marcus Semien 2B | NYM
Rangers' Marcus Semien: Registers sixth steal
Semien went 1-for-4 with a stolen base, an RBI, a run scored and a walk in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Athletics.
Semien contributed an RBI single in the fifth inning to stretch the Rangers' lead to 4-0. They fell behind, but 31-year-old helped them tie the game again with some heads-up baserunning in the ninth. He stole second, moved to third on a groundout and scored on a wild pitch, though the A's ultimately walked it off in the bottom of the ninth. Semien has shown some life at the plate lately, going 16-for-56 (.286) in 14 games since May 15. Despite the uptick, he's still sporting a mediocre .196/.258/.268 slash line with one home run, 17 RBi, 19 runs scored and six steals through 45 contests.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Homers, swipes bag
Torres went 3-for-4 with a solo home run and a stolen base in a 4-2 loss Sunday in Tampa Bay.
Torres got the scoring started with a leadoff homer in the second inning off Shane McClanahan. He added two singles and a steal of third base. It was his first three-hit game of the season. The home run was his ninth, matching his total from last season, and fourth in his last six contests. It was just his first stolen base attempt of the season after he swiped a career-best 14 bags a year ago.

Cavan Biggio RF | HOU
Blue Jays' Cavan Biggio: Garners fourth straight start
Biggio will start at first base and bat sixth in Sunday's game against the Angels.
He'll make his fourth consecutive start at his third different position, this time filling in at first base while Vladimir Guerrero contends with a sore wrist. Biggio, who has gone 2-for-8 with a double, a walk, an RBI, a run and a stolen base in his first three starts following his call-up from Triple-A Buffalo, will likely move into a utility role if Guerrero's wrist issue proves to be a short-term concern.

Guardians' Owen Miller: Takes seat Sunday
Miller is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers, Andre Knott of Bally Sports Ohio reports.
Miller started the past 17 games and will head to the bench while mired in a 3-for-21 slump. Andres Gimenez will shift to second base while Amed Rosario starts at shortstop.
