Enrique Hernandez SS | LAD
Red Sox's Enrique Hernandez: Takes hacks against Chris Sale
Hernandez (hip) took two at-bats against rehabbing starting pitcher Chris Sale (rib cage) in a simulated game Thursday at Fenway Park, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.
Hernandez's participation in a simulated game could be the final benchmark he needs to clear in his recovery from a strained right hip before heading to one of the Red Sox's minor-league affiliates this weekend for what will likely be a brief rehab assignment. Jarren Duran and Jackie Bradley have been filling in out in center field while Hernandez has been on the 10-day inured list.

Tony Kemp 2B | MIN
Athletics' Tony Kemp: Sits against lefty
Kemp is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Red Sox, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
With the Red Sox and Athletics playing a day game after a night game along with Boston bringing a southpaw (Rich Hill) to the mound, the lefty-hitting Kemp will take a seat for the first time since June 5. Jonah Bride replaces Kemp at second base, while left fielder Chad Pinder takes over as Oakland's leadoff hitter.

Enrique Hernandez SS | LAD
Red Sox's Enrique Hernandez: Runs on field
Hernandez (hip) ran on the field at Fenway Park prior to Wednesday's game, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
Hernandez is reportedly feeling better since landing on the injured list with a hip flexor strain last week, and Wednesday's pre-game activity supports that notion. It's possible he's activated when eligible June 18.

Amed Rosario SS | NYY
Guardians' Amed Rosario: Scores four runs
Rosario went 3-for-5 with a solo home run, triple and three additional runs during Wednesday's 7-5 win against Colorado.
Rosario took Colorado starter Austin Gomber deep in the third inning and scored after reaching on a single, fielder's choice and triple later in the game. The 26-year-old extended his hit streak to nine games in the process, including three straight multi-hit efforts, to raise his June line to .377/.377/.528 in 12 games. The long ball was Rosario's first of the campaign, though he has four triples and eight doubles.

Andres Gimenez 2B | TOR
Guardians' Andres Gimenez: Not in Wednesday's lineup
Gimenez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rockies.
The 23-year-old has a .324/.395/.588 slash line through 10 games in June but will take a seat Wednesday with lefty Austin Gomber pitching for Colorado. Owen Miller will man the keystone in Gimenez's place.

Cavan Biggio RF | HOU
Blue Jays' Cavan Biggio: Retreats to bench
Biggio is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Orioles.
Biggio will take a seat after he went 6-for-20 with three extra-base hits, four walks, three runs and two RBI while starting in each of the Jays' last six games. The 27-year-old has looked far better with Toronto following his May 26 call-up from Triple-A than he did earlier in the campaign, but he still looks to be stuck in a utility role with Vladimir Guerrero, Santiago Espinal, Bo Bichette and Matt Chapman locked in as the Jays' everyday infielders.

Christian Arroyo 2B | NYM
Red Sox's Christian Arroyo: Officially placed on COVID-19 IL
Arroyo (illness) was placed on the COVID-19 injured list Wednesday.
Arroyo was scratched from Tuesday's lineup due to an illness, and manager Alex Cora said Wednesday that the 27-year-old has tested positive for COVID-19. Arroyo will be forced to isolate from the team until he clears the league's health and safety protocols, while Jarren Duran was recalled from Triple-A Worcester on Wednesday to take his place on the active roster.

Jonathan Arauz 3B | LAD
Orioles' Jonathan Arauz: Claimed by Baltimore
Arauz was claimed off waivers by the Orioles and optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Wednesday.
Arauz was designated for assignment by Boston on Wednesday, but he'll land a spot on the Orioles' 40-man roster. Over 24 games at Triple-A Worcester this year, the 23-year-old hit .185 with five doubles, 11 runs, three RBI and a stolen base.

Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Twins' Jorge Polanco: Remains out of lineup
Polanco (back) isn't starting Wednesday's game against the Mariners.
Polanco continues to deal with back soreness and will be held out of the lineup for a third consecutive game. Manager Rocco Baldelli said Wednesday that Polanco underwent an MRI that didn't reveal anything too concerning, so he should be considered day-to-day for now, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Luis Arraez will shift to the keystone while Jose Miranda draws the start at first base Wednesday.

Christian Arroyo 2B | NYM
Red Sox's Christian Arroyo: Expected to land on COVID-19 IL
Arroyo (illness) is expected to be placed on the COVID-19 injured list Wednesday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.
It's not yet clear whether Arroyo has tested positive for COVID-19, but he'll spend some time away from the team after being scratched from Tuesday's lineup due to an illness. Once the 27-year-old is placed on the IL, he'll be eligible to return to action as soon as he clears the league's health and safety protocols. Jarren Duran is slated to take Arroyo's place on the active roster.
