Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT
Rays' Brandon Lowe: Takes seat Monday
Lowe is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Blue Jays, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
The Rays are facing a right-hander (Jose Berrios) in the series opener, but the lefty-hitting Lowe will still take a seat while manager Kevin Cash gives rookie Jonathan Aranda a look at second base. Lowe still appears to have a hold on a strong-side platoon role, but his 0-for-13 showing at the plate since being activated from the 10-day injured list last week could give him a shorter leash atop the depth chart than anticipated.

Harold Castro 2B | KC
Tigers' Harold Castro: On bench Monday
Castro isn't starting Monday's game against the Astros.
The utility player has slashed .212/.257/.303 with five RBI in nine games to begin the month. With September call-up Spencer Torkelson having seemingly recaptured an everyday role at first base, Castro looks primed to serve as a utility player moving forward.

Adam Frazier 2B | LAA
Mariners' Adam Frazier: Stuffs box score in Sunday's win
Frazier went 2-for-3 with a two-run triple, a walk, a stolen base and two runs in a win over Atlanta on Sunday.
The stellar performance at the plate was a prototypical one in past seasons for Frazier, whose current .242/.309/.317 slash line still leaves plenty to be desired. However, the veteran's prolific day Sunday pushed his triple tally on the season to four, and he's now just one steal away from tying the career-high 10 he recorded in 2021 while splitting time between the Pirates and Padres.

Tony Kemp 2B | MIN
Athletics' Tony Kemp: Homers in three-hit game
Kemp went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, an RBI triple and an RBI single in a 10-3 victory over the White Sox on Sunday. He also scored four runs.
Kemp has been swinging a hot bat recently, and he added some power to the mix with his fifth home run and first triple of the season. Kemp now has hits in 12 of his last 13 games and has raised his average to .234 with the performance. Kemp was hitting as low as .201 in July. Kemp has scored 51 runs this season and is on the brink of topping his career-high total of 54 from last year.

Michael Massey 2B | KC
Royals' Michael Massey: Knocks second homer
Massey went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Sunday's 4-0 win over the Tigers.
Massey provided the Royals' last run of the game with his fourth-inning blast. The second baseman has shown pretty well through his first 36 major-league games with 10 of his 28 hits going for extra bases (two homers, one triple, seven doubles). Entering Sunday, he had gone just 1-for-16 over his last five games. He's slashing .252/.339/.387 with three stolen bases, 10 RBI and 10 runs scored through 128 plate appearances.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Drills two home runs
Torres went 2-for-4 with two homers and four RBI in Sunday's 10-4 win over the Rays.
Torres opened the game's scoring with a three-run shot in the first inning followed by a solo blast in the second, both coming against starter Luis Patino. The 25-year-old infielder had just one long ball over his previous 15 appearances but he's now up to 21 on the year. During that 15-game slump, Torres went 11-for-61 (.180) with a .500 OPS. On the year, he's slashing .240/.292/.427 with 44 extra-base hits and 58 RBI.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Stays hot in win
Altuve went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and one steal in Sunday's victory over the Angels.
Altuve stayed hot at the dish Sunday with three hits and a stolen base, his 16th on the season. He is batting .350 with 11 extra-base hits in 80 at-bats over his last 20 games dating back to Aug. 18. He has scored 18 runs in that stretch, giving him 84 on the season.
-
Andres Gimenez 2B | TOR
Guardians' Andres Gimenez: Launches 16th home run
Gimenez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Sunday's 4-1 win over Minnesota.
After going hitless in his last two games, Gimenez got back on track with a solo shot in the second inning, his 16th homer on the season. Despite the mini-slump, Gimenez is batting .270 (10-for-37) in the month of September with three stolen bases. He now owns a strong .299/.369/.478 slash line through 125 games.

Enrique Hernandez SS | LAD
Red Sox's Enrique Hernandez: Picks up four hits
Hernandez went 4-for-6 with a double, an RBI single and two runs scored in Saturday's 17-4 win over the Orioles.
Hernandez knocked in Trevor Story on a single in the ninth inning, which turned out to be the final run in a 17-run game. Hernandez also scored on a Kevin Plawecki double in the fourth inning and an Abraham Almonte single in the ninth. Prior to Saturday's contest, Hernandez had five hits across seven games this month, and he nearly matched that total with the four-hit performance against Baltimore. With the big game Saturday, the veteran is slashing .310/.375/.448 for the month and is batting .226 on the season.

Christian Arroyo 2B | NYM
Red Sox's Christian Arroyo: Homers in big win
Arroyo went 2-for-6 with a two-run home run and an RBI single in Saturday's win over the Orioles.
Arroyo knocked in J.D. Martinez on a fifth-inning homer, then scored Connor Wong on a single in the ninth. This was Arroyo's sixth homer of the season and his first since Aug. 9. The second baseman has hits in three straight games and in five of his last six, but he has also struck out in five straight games, limiting his fantasy upside. He is currently slashing .285/.325/.427 on the season.
