Michael Stefanic 2B | ATH
Angels' Michael Stefanic: Back in lineup Tuesday
Stefanic (calf) will start at second base and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the White Sox, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
Stefanic hadn't started in any of the last four games after he was removed from Friday's game against the Astros with calf tightness, but he felt well enough to make an appearance off the bench Sunday. His return to the lineup Wednesday indicates that he's healthy, but Stefanic will likely have to settle for more of a part-time role once Brandon Drury is fully recovers from a hamstring injury. Drury is back in the lineup Wednesday as the Angels' designated hitter following a five-game absence.

Yankees' Gleyber Torres: Tallies three hits Tuesday
Torres went 3-for-4 with a double and three runs in an 11-2 win against Seattle on Tuesday.
Torres set the table well from the leadoff spot, scoring after each of his three hits. He was given a couple innings off his feet when Jon Berti took over for him at second base with the Yankees up big in the seventh inning. Torres is in the midst of an outstanding September, slashing .365/.423/.508 with two home runs, nine RBI, 14 runs and a 7:11 BB:K through 15 games.

Brandon Drury 2B | KC
Angels' Brandon Drury: Back in at DH on Wednesday
Drury (hamstring) will start at designated hitter and bat cleanup in Wednesday's game versus the White Sox, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.
Drury is back in action for the first time in a week after he had been battling a sore left hamstring. Injuries have limited him to just 88 games this season, and he's managed a dreadful .478 OPS during that time.

Brandon Lowe 2B | PIT
Rays' Brandon Lowe: Three homers in eight games
Lowe went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run Tuesday against the Red Sox.
Despite missing time with a finger injury, Lowe has homered three times in his last eight games. He needs one more long ball to reach 20 for the second consecutive season, and his .238 ISO is his highest mark since 2021.

Jorge Polanco 1B | NYM
Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Homers Tuesday
Polanco went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Tuesday's loss to the Yankees.
Polanco got the Mariners on the board early with a solo home run off Luis Gil in the second inning. The home run was just his second extra-base hit and sixth hit overall in 53 plate appearance since Aug. 30, a span during which he's hit just .128. Polanco is having by far the least productive campaign of his career, slashing just .203/.292/.346 with 15 homers, 40 RBI, 41 runs, four steals and a 44:129 BB:K in 428 plate appearances.

Jose Altuve 2B | HOU
Astros' Jose Altuve: Ejected in ninth
Altuve was ejected in the ninth inning of Tuesday's game against the Padres after arguing that he fouled a pitch off his foot.
Altuve went as far as taking off his shoe and sock in an effort to prove to home-plate umpire Brennan Miller that he hit a foul ball off his foot rather than a grounder in fair territory. However, Miller didn't seem to appreciate being presented with Altuve's bare foot, so the veteran second baseman was immediately tossed from the game. He had gone 1-for-5 with two strikeouts before being ejected.

Colt Keith 3B | DET
Tigers' Colt Keith: Battling shoulder injury
Keith was removed from Tuesday's game versus Kansas City due to a right shoulder injury, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Keith reportedly suffered the injury on a dive during the fifth inning of Tuesday's contest, and he took himself out of the game once it began to affect his ability to throw the ball, per Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic. He's slated to undergo further testing Wednesday, at which point the Tigers will have more information on the severity of the 23-year-old's injury. If he's unable to play Wednesday, Zach McKinstry and Andy Ibanez would be candidates to fill in at second base.

Michael Stefanic 2B | ATH
Angels' Michael Stefanic: Sitting down Tuesday
Stefanic isn't in the Angels' lineup Tuesday versus the White Sox.
Stefanic appeared as a pinch runner during Sunday's contest, suggesting that he's moved past his calf issue, but he'll grab a seat on the bench Tuesday while Charles Leblanc starts at second base in place of the injured Brandon Drury (hamstring).

Angels' Brandon Drury: Remains out Tuesday
Drury (hamstring) is not in the starting lineup Tuesday versus the White Sox.
Drury will remain on the bench for a fifth consecutive contest as he continues to nurse a left hamstring issue. Charles Leblanc will draw another start at second base and bat seventh against Chicago.
