Ben Williamson 2B | TB
Rays' Ben Williamson: Activated from injured list
The Rays activated Williamson (back) from the 10-day injured list Friday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
With Williamson returning from his lower-back strain, Carson Williams is being sent back to Triple-A Durham. Williamson last played May 12 and has slashed .268/.349/.339 with zero homers, 14 RBI, 19 runs scored, four stolen bases and a 14:24 BB:K across 127 plate appearances this season while mainly seeing action at second base.

Ezequiel Duran SS | TEX
Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Returns following illness
Duran went 2-for-4 with a stolen base in Thursday's 5-1 loss to Houston.
Duran returned to action after being removed from Wednesday's game with an illness that was deemed to not be serious. He started at shortstop for the injured Corey Seager (back) and continued to make a case for a regular gig in the starting lineup. During the month of May, Duran has slashed .283/.327/.478 with three home runs, 18 RBI, two steals and 13 runs across 25 contests.

Nicky Lopez 2B | TEX
Rangers' Nicky Lopez: Second straight start
Lopez will start at second base and bat ninth in Thursday's contest versus the Astros.
Lopez was signed to a major-league contract Wednesday and has now made two straight starts at second base (both against righties). The 31-year-old has slashed only .227/.298/.280 in 1,223 regular-season plate appearances at the major-league level since the start of the 2022 season, but he's got a steady glove and the Rangers are opting for defense over offense at the keystone.

Justin Foscue 2B | TEX
Rangers' Justin Foscue: Sitting again in favor of Lopez
Foscue is not in the lineup for Thursday's contest against the Astros.
After making 11 straight starts at second base, Foscue has now sat in favor of Nicky Lopez two days in a row. Foscue is in a mini slump, having gone just 1-for-16 over his last five games, and Lopez offers the superior glove at the keystone.

Ezequiel Duran SS | TEX
Rangers' Ezequiel Duran: Back in action Thursday
Duran (illness) will start at shortstop and bat seventh in Thursday's game versus the Astros.
Duran had to be removed from Wednesday's contest due to illness, but he will not have to miss any starts. He's been serving as the Rangers' primary shortstop since Corey Seager went down with a back injury in mid-May.

Lenyn Sosa 2B | TOR
Blue Jays' Lenyn Sosa: Placed on injured list
The Blue Jays placed Sosa on the 10-day injured list Thursday with a right wrist contusion, retroactive to Wednesday.
Sosa sat out Toronto's game Tuesday after getting hit on the wrist by a pitch Monday, and he'll now have to miss at least nine more days after being placed on the injured list. Charles McAdoo was selected from Triple-A Buffalo in a corresponding move to replenish the Jays' infield depth.

Luke Keaschall 2B | MIN
Twins' Luke Keaschall: Taking seat
Keaschall is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the White Sox.
Keaschall has slashed a healthy .269/.395/.373 in May following a rough April, though with zero home runs and three steals, the counting stats haven't been really been there. Orlando Arcia will play second base Thursday while Keaschall rests.

Gleyber Torres 2B | DET
Tigers' Gleyber Torres: Sent out on rehab assignment
Torres (oblique) will travel to Triple-A Toledo on Friday to begin a rehab assignment, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.
Torres is expected to work out with Toledo for a day or two before getting into game action. He's been sidelined for nearly four weeks with a left oblique strain and is poised to return to the Tigers' active roster in early June, assuming all goes well on his rehab assignment.

Travis Bazzana 2B | CLE
Guardians' Travis Bazzana: Runs hit streak to five games
Bazzana went 2-for-4 with two doubles and a run scored in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Nationals.
Bazzana's multi-hit effort extended a hit streak to five games, during which the rookie has gone 8-for-19 with a home run, five doubles, two RBI and two runs scored. All of that production came as the Guardians' leadoff batter, a role that opened up because of Steven Kwan's season-opening slump.
