Mets' Asdrubal Cabrera: Returns to lineup Tuesday
Cabrera (knee) is back in the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Marlins.
After getting the day off Monday to rest his sore knee, Cabrera returns to the lineup for Tuesday's divisional matchup. Cabrera will bat second in the order and start at shortstop. His return to the lineup will slide Jose Reyes back over to third base and bump Kelly Johnson back to the bench.

Josh Bell DH | MIN
Pirates' Josh Bell: Homers in loss to Cubs
Bell homered, walked twice and scored two runs in a 1-for-2 game in Monday's extra-innings loss to the Cubs.
Bell is on fire since returning August 20, with a 7:2 BB:K and three extra-base hits in 10 games. Sean Rodriguez has done well this year, with a .252/.333/.486 batting line, but Bell has been too good for the Pirates to keep him out of the lineup. His season line is now up to an absurd .407/.541/.704.

Joey Votto 1B | TOR
Reds' Joey Votto: Smacks 22nd homer Monday
Votto went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer in Monday's 9-2 loss to the Angels.
Votto opened the scoring in the top of the first, but that was all the offense Cincinnati would muster against Matt Shoemaker. The veteran first baseman has been remarkably consistent with at least 22 homers in seven of the past nine years. He's as locked in as any player in baseball with 15 RBI in his last 10 games.

Mets' Asdrubal Cabrera: Held out with knee injury
Cabrera (knee) is not in the lineup for Monday's game against the Marlins, according to Adam Rubin of ESPN.com.
Cabrera was expected to start Monday despite his early exit from Sunday's contest, but he will get at least one day to rest and recover. Given that Cabrera had a shot to play Monday, he should have a chance to get back on the field for the Mets' next game Tuesday.

Mets' Asdrubal Cabrera: Diagnosed with knee injury after collision Sunday
Updating a previous report, Cabrera was forced to exit Sunday's game with a sore left knee injury rather than an arm injury, according to ESPN.com's Adam Rubin.
It's not encouraging news for Cabrera, who was previously forced to the DL earlier this month with a strained patellar tendon in the same knee. The shortstop had been on fire since coming back from the DL, going 15-for-33 (.455 average), so an absence of any length due to this latest knee setback would obviously be costly for the playoff-hopeful Mets. Wilmer Flores ended up replacing Cabrera on Sunday and slotted in at third base, while Jose Reyes moved over from the hot corner to cover Cabrera's normal spot at shortstop. Flores would be the primary beneficiary if Cabrera's injury would require another DL stint.

Paul Goldschmidt 1B | NYY
Diamondbacks' Paul Goldschmidt: Sitting out Sunday
Goldschmidt is out of Sunday's lineup versus the Reds, Jody Jackson of Fox Sports Arizona reports.
Goldschmidt will get a rare day off for Arizona's series finale against Cincinnati as Phil Gosselin starts at first. Goldschmidt has continued his phenomenal season-long performance at the plate recently, having hit .353/.462/.549 with two home runs over the last 14 games.

Mets' Asdrubal Cabrera: Leaves game with arm injury
Cabrera was pulled out of Sunday's game against the Phillies after injuring his arm in a play at first base, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
Cabrera was running to first base, but an errant throw forced the Phillies' Tommy Joseph to come off the bag and make contact with Cabrera. More information regarding the severity of Cabrera's injury should be known in the near future after his arm is further examined. Upon Cabrera's departure, Wilmer Flores entered the game as his replacement.

Josh Bell DH | MIN
Pirates' Josh Bell: Out of Sunday's lineup
Bell is out of Sunday's lineup against the Brewers.
Bell has had a solid showing over the last seven days, as he's posted a .333/.444/.429 line in that time. However, he'll have Sunday off and give way to John Jaso at first base. Pittsburgh has said they want to give Bell plenty of experience with the big club, so he'll likely return to the lineup Monday against the Cubs.

Ryan Howard 1B | COL
Phillies' Ryan Howard: Out of Sunday's lineup
Howard is out of the lineup Sunday against the Mets, Ryan Lawrence of the Philly Voice reports.
Howard had started three straight games for Philadelphia, going just 1-for-10 in that time, bringing his batting average down to .194 for the year. He'll get the day off as Tommy Joseph starts at first and bats cleanup for the Phillies.

Mets' Asdrubal Cabrera: Blasts 16th home run Saturday
Cabrera continues to rake at the plate following his return from the disabled list, blasting his 16th home run while driving in a pair of run Saturday.
Cabrera is 13-for-28 with three home runs and nine runs driven in since he returned to the lineup eight game ago. His 16 home runs tie for the second-best mark of his career while his .764 OPS is his highest since 2011, which was his best year in the majors.
