O'Hearn was removed from Friday's game against the Reds with an apparent quad injury, Dominic Campbell of SI.com reports.

O'Hearn was grabbing at his left quad while attempting to beat out a groundball in the ninth inning, and he had to be helped off the field by the Pirates' training staff. He'll presumably be sent in for imaging, and the team could provide an update on his health in the near future. If he ends up needing to miss additional time, Jacob Gonzalez would presumably shift to first base, opening up shortstop for Jared Triolo.

Stowers went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Thursday's loss to the Mets.

The 28-year-old took Nolan McLean deep in the fourth inning to open the scoring, Stowers' third homer in the last five games. That surge comes on the heels of a 12-game power drought, as the streaky slugger shows signs of breaking out. Seven of Stowers' 15 long balls on the season have come in July, but he's managed just a .230/.306/.506 slash line on the month in 23 contests with 10 runs and 13 RBI.

Garcia went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, a triple and two RBI in Thursday's 5-4 loss to Atlanta.

Garcia came a single short of hitting for the cycle Thursday. Much of the focus has deservedly been on All-Stars James Wood and CJ Abrams in Washington's high-octane offense, but Garcia is putting together an outstanding campaign in his own right. The 26-year-old has a .976 OPS over 72 games since the beginning of May, now slashing .286/.316/.566 with 23 homers, 19 doubles and 76 RBI across 367 plate appearances for the season. Among qualified batters, Garcia is trailing only Yordan Alvarez and Ben Rice in slugging percentage.

Sheets is not in the lineup Thursday versus the Giants.

The Giants are sending southpaw Robbie Ray to the mound Thursday, so the left-handed-hitting Sheets will take a seat. Jase Bowen has the start in left field and is batting ninth.

Young is absent from the lineup for Thursday's contest versus the Marlins.

It marks two straight games on the bench for Young, though the first of those was the second game of a doubleheader. Brett Baty is covering first base for the Mets in the series opener versus Miami.

Olson went 2-for-8 with a home run and three RBI across both games of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Mets.

The star first baseman generated all of Atlanta's offense on the day, launching a two-run shot off Sean Manaea in a 3-2 win for New York during the matinee before driving in the only run of the nightcap on a sixth-inning single. Olson is up to 28 homers on the season, including three in 13 games since the All-Star break -- a stretch in which he's produced a .240/.356/.460 slash line with two doubles, eight RBI and nine runs.

Young is not in the Mets' starting lineup against Atlanta for the second game of Wednesday's doubleheader.

Young will be on the bench while Eric Wagaman starts at first base and bats eighth for the second game of Wednesday's twin bill. Young went 1-for-2 with a walk in the first game, which was a 3-2 win for the Mets.

Vaughn is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Giants.

Vaughn was on the bench for the first two games of last weekend's series versus the Rockies, but he started in each of Milwaukee's ensuing three contests and went 3-for-10 with a home run, a walk, two runs and two RBI. With Jake Bauers (foot) back at first base Wednesday following a one-game absence and Luis Lara receiving the start in right field, Vaughn will retreat to the bench for the series finale in San Francisco. Despite playing different positions, Vaughn and Lara appear to be in a quasi-timeshare for the final spot in Milwaukee's regular lineup versus righties, though the Brewers should have room in the starting nine for both players against lefties.

Bauers (toe) will start at first base and bat third in Wednesday's game against the Giants.

Bauers was diagnosed with a fractured right big toe after fouling a ball off of himself Monday, but he apparently needed just a day off in Tuesday's 8-2 win to improve enough to re-enter the starting nine. The 30-year-old acknowledged Tuesday that he'll still be managing some pain with the toe moving forward, so it wouldn't be surprising if the Brewers ended up building in more off days for him and/or using him at first base more frequently than the corner outfield. The toe issue may also result in Bauers being less active in the running game, where he's contributed eight stolen bases in nine attempts through 97 contests this season.

Stowers went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Phillies.

Stowers launched his 14th homer of the season in the first inning, and that would be all the offense the Marlins would need to secure the win. He has two homers over his last three games, and it's also worth noting Stowers has hit safely in seven of his last eight contests, batting .281 with a .924 OPS over that stretch.
