Rivas isn't in the Pirates' lineup Saturday against the Cubs, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

With left-hander Jordan Wicks making his MLB debut Saturday, the lefty-hitting Rivas will take a seat to begin the game. Connor Joe will fill in at first base and bat fourth while Josh Palacios starts in right field.

The Padres recalled Batten from Triple-A El Paso on Saturday.

With Jake Cronenworth (wrist) headed for the injured list, Batten will come up from the minors to give San Diego additional infield depth. The 28-year-old is slashing .235/.341/.399 through 413 plate appearances in the minors and has gone 6-for-23 with San Diego this season.

The Padres placed Cronenworth on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a right wrist fracture.

Cronenworth took a 92-mph fastball to the wrist during the ninth inning of Friday's game against Milwaukee. The Padres didn't specify a timeline for the 29-year-old, but there is a chance Cronenworth misses the rest of the season. Matthew Batten was recalled from Triple-A El Paso in a corresponding move.

Montero isn't in the Rockies' lineup Saturday against Baltimore, Patrick Saunders of The Denver Post reports.

After going 7-for-19 with six RBI and two runs scored across his last six games, Montero will get a breather Saturday. Michael Toglia will enter as Colorado's first baseman and bat eighth.

Wade isn't in the Giants' lineup Saturday against Atlanta, Maria I. Guardado of MLB.com reports.

Southpaw Max Fried will start on the mound for Atlanta, meaning the left-handed bat of Wade will stay put in the Giants' dugout to begin Saturday's game. J.D. Davis will take over at first base, allowing Casey Schmitt to start at third and bat eighth.

Freeman went 4-for-5 with a double, three runs and an RBI in a 7-4 win against the Red Sox on Friday.

Among Freeman's four base knocks was a seventh-inning RBI double that gave Los Angeles its first lead of the game. The two-bagger was his league-leading 48th of the campaign, moving him one behind Shawn Green for the Los Angeles Dodgers record and four behind Johnny Frederick for the overall franchise mark. Freeman has been blistering at the plate of late, going 9-for-14 with three doubles, five runs and two RBI over his past three games.

Bohm went 2-for-4 with a double, a solo home run and two runs scored in Friday's 7-2 win over the Cardinals.

Bohm's home run off Miles Mikolas to lead off the sixth provided the Phillies a three-run cushion. He had also previously doubled off Mikolas to earn his third multi-hit effort in his last six games. The 14 homers and 79 RBI are both career highs for Bohm, who is now slashing .284/.338/.433 on the season.

Goldschmidt went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Friday's 7-2 loss to Philadelphia.

Goldschmidt gave the Cardinals an early lead with his first-inning dinger, but that was the only damage the Redbirds could manage on the evening. The 35-year-old slugger remains productive, slashing .278/.367/.457 through 125 games. However, his 21 home runs leave him on a pace to finish below 30 home runs in a full season for the first time since 2016.

Tellez went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in Friday's win over the Padres.

Tellez ripped a three-run homer in the third inning and also tacked on an RBI single. Between poor performance and a lengthy stint on the injured list, it was his first long ball since May 22. During that 38-game homerless drought, he posted a brutal .160/.215/.200 slash line. Tellez now owns a .686 OPS with 41 RBI and 13 home runs through 82 games.

Cronenworth was lifted from Friday's game in Milwaukee after being hit on the right wrist by a pitch, 97.3 The Fan reports.

A 92 mph Andrew Chafin fastball caught Cronenworth in a bad spot and he was quickly removed from the game. The infielder is no doubt headed for X-rays, with an update on his condition possibly available later Friday. Cronenworth was 1-for-3 with a single in addition to the hit by pitch before exiting.
