Dodgers' Freddie Freeman: Registers 22nd steal
Freeman went 2-for-5 with a double, one RBI and a stolen base in Saturday's 7-0 win over the Giants.
Freeman continues to provide surprising speed from a first baseman. He's up to five steals in September and a career-high 22 this season. For the year, the 34-year-old has added an impressive .334/.411/.563 slash line, 26 home runs, 96 RBI, 125 runs scored and 57 doubles through 153 contests. LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Out against lefty
Wade isn't in the Giants' lineup Saturday against the Dodgers, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
Lefty Clayton Kershaw will start on the mound for Los Angeles, sending Wade to the bench to begin Saturday's contest. Wilmer Flores will start at first base and bat fourth in Wade's place.

Jeimer Candelario 3B | LAA
Cubs' Jeimer Candelario: Resumes baseball activity
Candelario (back) resumed baseball activities Friday, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.
Candelario is already eligible to return from the injured list after suffering a lower-back strain in mid-September. He had slumped to a .083/.227/.278 line in the 13 games prior to hitting the injured list, however, so the Cubs will want to make sure he's right before activating him.

Elehuris Montero 1B | COL
Rockies' Elehuris Montero: On bench Saturday
Montero is out of the lineup Saturday versus the Cubs.
Montero will be on the bench for the second time since Wednesday. Prior to that, the 25-year-old had started in 18 consecutive games in which he slashed .306/.389/.484. However, after Friday's game, the infielder is 1-for-12 in the last three. Hunter Goodman will take his place in the lineup Saturday.

Carlos Santana 1B | ARI
Brewers' Carlos Santana: Churns out three hits
Santana went 3-for-6 with a double, two RBI and a run in Friday's 16-1 win over the Marlins.
Santana doubled home Christian Yelich for the fourth run in the Brewers' 12-run second inning and then plated Yelich again on a fifth-inning base hit. The 37-year-old has just three home runs to his name since Aug. 20, but he's hitting .275 and getting on base at a .353 clip over that stretch to keep his spot secure in Milwaukee's everyday lineup.

Jared Young 1B | NYM
Cubs' Jared Young: Homers in win Friday
Young went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in Friday's win over the Rockies.
Making his first start for the Cubs since July, Young delivered a critical home run to help the team in its pursuit of a playoff spot. The 28-year-old has only appeared in 15 contests this year and has provided two long balls along with eight RBI. Young remains off the fantasy radar, though he may see another start or two down the stretch depending on matchups, as he does offer the lineup an additional left-handed bat.

Christian Walker 1B | HOU
Diamondbacks' Christian Walker: Sole offense in loss
Walker went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 7-1 loss to the Yankees.
Walker's ninth-inning home run was his 31st of the season and gave him a career-high 95 RBI. The slugging first baseman's bat has shown life after an eight-game stretch during which he went 1-for-29 with zero RBI. Walker is 6-for-21 (.286) with two doubles, a home run and four RBI over the last five contests.

LaMonte Wade 1B | CHW
Giants' LaMonte Wade: Sitting against lefty
Wade is not in the lineup Friday against the Dodgers.
Wilmer Flores will start at first base and bat third as the Giants take on left-hander Caleb Ferguson, with another left-hander in Ryan Yarbrough lined up to work in bulk relief. Wade has drawn most of his playing time -- and generated most of his power production -- against righties this season.

Alfonso Rivas 1B | STL
Pirates' Alfonso Rivas: On bench versus lefty
Rivas remains out of the lineup Friday versus the Reds.
Rivas sat against a righty Thursday and will remain on the bench to begin Friday's game with left-hander Andrew Abbott set to take the mound for Cincinnati. The left-handed-hitting Rivas has gone 3-for-18 (.167) with five strikeouts this year against southpaws.
