Panthers' Maema Njongmeta: Signs to active roster
The Panthers signed Njongmeta from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
The third-year linebacker out of Wisconsin has yet to start in an NFL game. Njongmeta has likely been elevated as an additional depth option at linebacker alongside Tyrel Dodson due to the placement of Claudin Cherelus (shoulder) on injured reserve.
