  • Steelers' Keeanu Benton: Tops 50 tackles in 2025

Benton generated 51 tackles (25 solo), including 5.5 sacks, along with a pass defense and a forced fumble while appearing in all 17 regular-season games in 2025. Benton's production over his first two professional seasons in 2023 and 2024 was incredibly consistent, as he recorded exactly 36 tackles (16 solo), including one sack, during each of his first two years in the NFL. However, he took a sizable step forward in 2025, setting career-best marks in tackles and sacks. The 2023 second-rounder has yet to miss a game in his career and will attempt to build upon his momentum during the final year of his rookie contract in 2026.

  • Steelers' Keeanu Benton: Set to suit up Week 15

Benton (ankle) has been cleared of an injury designation for Monday's tilt against the Dolphins. Benton was limited in practice Friday due to an ankle issue, but he was able to return to full participation Saturday. That clears the way for him to take the field against Miami on Monday Night Football. Benton has yet to miss a regular-season game in his three-year NFL career.

  • Steelers' Keeanu Benton: Downgrades to limited Friday

Benton (ankle) was a limited participant in Friday's practice, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. Benton logged a full practice Thursday, so a drop in participation Friday means the nose tackle likely suffered a setback with his ankle injury. The 24-year-old will have one more opportunity to return to full participation in hopes of avoiding an injury designation for Monday night's game against the Dolphins.

  • Steelers' Keeanu Benton: Three stops in Week 11 victory

Benton posted three tackles (one solo) during the Steelers' 34-12 win over the Bengals on Sunday. Benton played a season-low 39 defensive snaps Sunday, but that may have been in part due to the Steelers' large lead late in the fourth quarter. The third-year defensive tackle is up to 29 tackles (14 solo), including 4.5 sacks, through 10 regular-season games.

  • Steelers' Keeanu Benton: Logs sack in loss

Benton logged seven tackles (three solo), including 1.0 sacks, in Pittsburgh's loss to the Chargers on Sunday. Benton recorded one of the Steelers' four sacks of Justin Herbert during the loss. After getting off to a slow start this season, the 2023 second-round pick has been more productive as of late, logging 17 tackles (10 solo), including 3.0 sacks, across his last four appearances.

  • Steelers' Keeanu Benton: Logs more snaps in second season

Benton finished the 2024 regular season with 36 tackles (16 solo), including 1.0 sacks, along with six defensed passes (one of which was an interception) and one fumble recovery over 17 contests. Benton has yet to miss a game in his two-year NFL career. He was on the field more often this season than in his rookie campaign -- last year, he logged more than 50 percent of Pittsburgh's defensive snaps four times, while this season that number shot up to 13. However, Benton produced the exact same number of tackles and sacks, though he did boost his tally of pass defenses by four. His numbers aren't appealing in IDP leagues, but Benton has shown promise in his first two pro seasons and should maintain a steady role along Pittsburgh's defensive line in the third year of his rookie contract next season.

  • Steelers' Keeanu Benton: Picks off pass in win

Benton recorded a tackle and an interception in Sunday's 27-14 win over the Browns. Perhaps not surprisingly, it was the nose tackle's first interception of his two-year career. Benton does have six pass breakups in 2024 to go along with 23 tackles (12 solo).

  • Steelers' Keeanu Benton: Will play against Bengals

Benton (hip) does not have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. Benton popped up on Thursday's injury report as a limited practice participant due to a hip injury, but it doesn't appear to be bothering him anymore as he was able to log a full practice Friday. The second-year defensive tackle out of Wisconsin has logged 21 tackles (11 solo), five pass defenses and one fumble recovery across 11 regular-season games.

  • Steelers' Keeanu Benton: Plays 15 snaps

Benton (eye) tallied two tackles, including half a sack, in Saturday's 9-3 preseason loss to the Bills. Benton suffered an eye injury during the Steelers' preseason opener, but he was a starter for Saturday's matchup. He played 15 defensive snaps and was relatively productive during his time on the field, and he should be fully healthy moving forward.

  • Steelers' Keeanu Benton: Back in full pads Tuesday

Benton (ankle) was in full pads for Tuesday's practice, Alex Kozora of Steelers Depot reports. Benton exited the preseason opener with an ankle injury last Friday, but it sounds like he avoided anything serious. The second-round rookie, selected 49th overall, is expected to serve as the Steelers' starting nose tackle.
