Fitzgerald is not a kicker we suggest drafting in 2026. He had a mixed bag of a rookie season, struggling from distance and missing three extra points. Even if he makes some improvement in those areas, the Panthers offense is not one that scores enough points, as evidenced by his meager 30 extra-point attempts. If things look different, you may consider streaming Fitzgerald indoors against a bad defense, but you will do so with very little confidence.
Fitzgerald converted two of three field goal attempts while making all four PATs in Friday night's preseason game against the Jaguars.
Fitzgerald contributed 10 of the Panthers' 34 total points in the effort, making 48- and 61-yard field goals while missing a 31-yarder. The second-year kicker out of Florida State proved he has the leg for long-distance snipes but also flashed some consistency issues by missing a short-range kick. Overall, Fitzgerald had a good night and proved why he will remain the Panthers' starting kicker heading into the regular season.
