  • Steelers' KJ Henry: Inks deal with Steelers

The Steelers signed Henry to a reserve/future contract Wednesday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports. Henry was a free agent for the majority of the season, joining the Browns in Week 14 and eventually ending the season with the Steelers. In his one game active, the 26-year-old played five snaps on special teams without appearing on the stat sheet. The third-year pro will participate in Pittsburgh's offseason activities and attempt to earn a spot on the active roster next season.

  • KJ Henry: Let go by Dallas

Henry was waived by the Cowboys on Saturday, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. The 25-year-old was part of a flurry of transactional moves by the Cowboys on Saturday. The defensive end logged snaps in two games with the team this season and mainly played on special teams. A 2023 fifth-round pick by virtue of the Commanders, Henry could catch on with another practice squad this season.

  • Cowboys' KJ Henry: Moving to Dallas

Henry signed with the Cowboys on Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Henry was a fifth-round selection by the Commanders in the 2023 Draft but wasn't able to make an impact there. Ultimately, he found his way to Cincinnati, who waived him from its roster on Sept. 17. The second-year pro has 19 combined tackles, two passes defended and 1.5 sacks in 12 career games. With the Cowboys, he'll be tasked with bolstering their depth upfront with DeMarcus Lawrence (foot) and Micah Parsons (ankle) both expected to miss time.

  • KJ Henry: Gets cut loose

Henry was waived by the Bengals on Tuesday. Henry appeared in both games for Cincinnati this season but only played 10 snaps on defense while seeing seven snaps on special teams. The second-year pro was selected in the fifth round by the Commanders in the 2023 NFL Draft but was unable to stick there as well. He'll now work to find another opportunity elsewhere.

  • Commanders' K.J. Henry: Contributes as rookie

Henry recorded 19 tackles 14 solo), two pass defenses and 1.5 sacks across 10 games during his 2023 rookie season. The fifth-round pick made just one appearance before November, strictly playing special teams, but then got more playing time once the Commanders traded DEs Chase Young and Montez Sweat. Henry played at least 30 snaps on defense in each of the team's final seven games, but he won't necessarily have that kind of role in his second season, with the Commanders presumably looking to upgrade their shaky group of edge defenders this spring.
