  • Steelers' Lance Mason: Claimed off waivers by Pittsburgh

The Steelers claimed Mason off waivers from the Seahawks on Friday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. The undrafted rookie out of Wisconsin will head to Pittsburgh after being let go by the defending Super Bowl champions Thursday, though Mason faces an uphill battle to make the Steelers' 53-man roster given the top four tight ends on the depth chart are Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington, Robert Tonyan and Jaheim Bell. During his final college season with the Badgers, Mason caught 30 passes for 398 yards and four touchdowns across 11 games.

  • Lance Mason: Cut loose by Seattle

Mason was waived by the Seahawks on Thursday, John Boyle of the team's official website reports. Mason signed with Seattle as an undrafted free agent May 1, but he will now be placed on waivers. The tight completed his collegiate career with a senior campaign with Wisconsin in 2025, reeling in 30 of 53 targets for 398 yards and four touchdowns. If Mason goes unclaimed on waivers, there's a chance that he sticks around with the Seahawks as a member of the team's practice squad.

  • Seahawks' Lance Mason: Secures deal with Seattle

Mason signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent Friday. Mason is coming off a senior season with Wisconsin during which he caught 30 passes for 398 yards and four touchdowns. Prior to that, he spent his first three campaigns at Missouri State. Mason is 6-foot-3 with reliable hands, but he isn't particularly quick or agile. Seattle's tight-end corps is led by AJ Barner and Elijah Arroyo, and Mason may be headed for a spot on the practice squad.
