The Steelers waived Ogundeji on Monday, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports. Ogundeji defended one pass across 15 defensive snaps in the Steelers' Week 6 win over the Raiders, but it now appears the team has decided to move in a different direction. The Notre Dame product could end up on the Steelers' practice squad if he goes unclaimed on waivers.

Falcons' Adetokunbo Ogundeji: Back to practice in full

Ogundeji (ankle) practiced in full Wednesday. Ogundeji missed the Falcons' win over the Panthers on Sunday, but a return to practicing in full should have him ready to take the field Sunday against the 49ers. The rookie fifth-round selection has 24 tackles (14 solo) with one sack, one passed defensed and a fumble recovery in a reserve role in the Falcons' linebacker unit.
