  • Winston Reid LB | CLE

Browns' Winston Reid: Practice window opens

Reid (back) had his practice window opened to return from the injured reserve list Wednesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.

The 26-year-old has missed all 14 of the Browns' games this season after being placed on IR with a back issue in late August. However, it now appears he's nearing a return. Once fully healthy, Reid is likely to play a reserve role in the Browns' linebacker corps.

  • Leo Chenal LB | WAS

Chiefs' Leo Chenal: Dealing with shoulder issue

Chenal (shoulder) won't practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.

Despite playing 37 defensive snaps and recording three total tackles, including 0.5 sacks, in the Week 15 loss to the Chargers, Chenal appears to have sustained a shoulder injury. The Wisconsin product likely needs to upgrade to at least limited practice Thursday or Friday to have a chance at suiting up for Sunday's matchup against the Titans.

  • Chiefs' Tyquan Thornton: Logs DNP on Wednesday

Thornton (concussion) won't practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.

Thornton sustained a concussion in the Week 15 loss to the Chargers, so it's no surprise he won't practice Wednesday. The fourth-year pro has been one of Kansas City's most productive receivers this season, catching 19 of 36 targets for 438 yards and three touchdowns while also accumulating 475 kick-return yards. He must still clear the NFL's five-step concussion protocol in order to suit up for the Week 16 matchup against the Titans on Sunday.

  • John Rhys Plumlee: Back with Pittsburgh

Plumlee joined the Steelers' practice squad Wednesday, Alan Saunders of SteelersNow.com reports.

The UCF product was dropped from the Steelers' practice squad on Dec. 16, but it now appears the team had a change of heart. Plumlee has yet to make his NFL debut after posting 505 rushing yards and five touchdowns during his final collegiate season in 2023.

  • Xavier Restrepo: Practicing Wednesday

Restrepo (ankle) will practice Wednesday, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports.

The rookie wideout from Miami was carted off the field in the Week 13 loss to the Jaguars due to an ankle injury, but it now appears he's moved past the issue. Although Restrepo remains on Tennessee's practice squad, he could be elevated to the active roster to ensure depth at wide receiver for Sunday's matchup against the Chiefs.

  • Bryce Oliver WR | TEN

Titans' Bryce Oliver: Practice window opens

Oliver (knee) was designated to return from the injured reserve list Wednesday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports.

The Youngstown State product has been sidelined since the Titans' Week 2 loss to the Rams due to a knee injury, but it now appears he's nearing a return. Once fully healthy, Oliver is expected to play a depth role in Tennessee's receiving corps while also contributing on special teams.

  • Montrell Johnson: Joins Carolina's practice squad

Johnson signed with the Panthers' practice squad Wednesday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.

Johnson was cut from the Cardinals' practice squad in early December, but it didn't take long for him to find a new home in Carolina. The Florida product has yet to make his NFL debut after posting 593 rushing yards, 64 receiving yards and six total touchdowns during his final collegiate season in 2024.

  • Rashee Rice WR | KC

Chiefs' Rashee Rice: In concussion protocol

Rice (concussion) won't practice Wednesday, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.

Per Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com, Rice reported concussion symptoms Monday, and the wideout is now in the NFL's concussion protocol as Sunday's game against the Titans approaches. He now has two more chances to practice before the Chiefs' Week 16 game statuses are posted, but with the team eliminated from playoff contention, look for caution to be exercised with both Rice and fellow WR Tyquan Thornton, who is also in the protocol.

  • Bralen Trice LB | ATL

Falcons' Bralen Trice: NFL debut still on hold

Trice (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of the season, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Trice is now in line to miss all of Atlanta's 2025 campaign due to a knee injury originally sustained in the 2024 preseason. The 2024 third-round pick from Washington has still yet to make his NFL debut. While he remains sidelined for the remainder of the season, expect Jalon Walker, James Pearce and Leonard Floyd to handle the Falcons' top pass-rush duties.

  • Zach Harrison DE | ATL

Falcons' Zach Harrison: Out for the year

Harrison (knee) won't return this season, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Harrison was placed on the injured reserve list in late November due to a knee issue likely sustained in the Week 7 loss to the 49ers. He played in just seven games this season, recording 22 total tackles, including 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles and one pass defensed. LaCale London will likely remain one of the Falcons' top defensive ends while Harrison is sidelined for the remainder of the season.
