Saints' Chase Young: Green light to play against Baltimore
Young (calf) is active for Sunday's game against the Ravens.
Young was working through a calf injury during Week 2 prep, and the veteran pass rusher has been cleared by medical staff to play Sunday. If his snap count is limited to decrease the chance of injury aggravation, then Myles Cole and Anfernee Jennings would be in line for a bump in playing time. Young logged one pass defense but failed to record a tackle during the Saints' 31-30 overtime loss to the Lions in Week 1.

Saints' Chase Young: Likely to suit up Sunday
Young (calf), who is listed questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens, is expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Young took a designation into the weekend after the calf injury limited his activity in practices Thursday and Friday. While he looks to be trending toward playing through the injury in Week 2, his availability won't be officially confirmed until the Saints release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Despite playing 77 percent of the defensive snaps in the Saints' 31-30 overtime loss to the Lions in Week 1, Young was held quiet on the stat sheet, as he finished with one pass defensed and no tackles.

Saints' Chase Young: Questionable for Week 2
Young (calf) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Baltimore.
Despite logging 59 defensive snaps in the 31-30 overtime loss to the Lions in Week 1, Young didn't record a tackle. He was limited during practice throughout the week, so if he can't suit up versus the Ravens, Tyree Wilson and Anfernee Jennings could be more involved.

Saints' Chase Young: Limited Thursday
Young (calf) was a limited participant in practice Thursday.
The edge rusher did not have an injury designation a day earlier. Young also played on 59 defensive snaps and broke up a pass in the Saints' Week 1 overtime loss the Lions. His status for Week 2 is now at least somewhat in doubt.

Saints' Chase Young: Posts resurgent season in 2025
Young closed the 2025 season with 38 tackles (22 solo), including 10.0 sacks, and four passes defended across 12 games. He also recorded two forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries, including a fumble returned for a touchdown.
Young missed the first five games of the season with a calf injury, but he still reached double-digit sacks for the first time in his career. As the No. 2 overall pick in the 2020 Draft, the 26-year-old didn't live up to expectations over his first four seasons, but he's bounced back during his time with New Orleans. Young has tallied 15.5 sacks in 29 games across the last two years, and he has two seasons remaining on his three-year, $51 million deal with the Saints.

Saints' Chase Young: Returns fumble for TD vs. Tennessee
Young logged four tackles (three solo), including 1.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery for a touchdown during the Saints' 34-26 win over the Titans on Sunday.
Young arguably made the play of the game late in the second quarter, when he strip-sacked Cam Ward, recovered the fumble and returned it 33 yards for a touchdown to reduce the Saints' deficit to three points. It was the second defensive touchdown of Young's six-year NFL career, with the first taking place in his rookie season in 2020 while playing for Washington. His performance Sunday put him up to a career-high 8.5 sacks through 11 regular-season games, and he'll look to add to his total this Sunday against the Falcons.
