  • Ryan Miller WR | MIA

Dolphins' Ryan Miller: Claimed by Miami

The Dolphins claimed Miller off waivers from the Giants on Tuesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Miller was competing for a roster spot with the Giants but was waved on Monday. The 26-year-old now has a chance to compete in a wide-open corps, with Friday's preseason finale against the Falcons likely holding a lot of sway over the final decisions for cut-down day.

  • Bub Means WR | NO

    Saints' Bub Means: Practices Tuesday

Means (hamstring) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice, Mike Triplett of NewOrleans.Football reports.

Means suffered a hamstring injury during Saturday's 34-0 preseason loss to the Rams. The wide receiver has recovered quickly from the issue and is all set to return to practice. The 25-year-old will likely see more action in Friday's preseason finale against the Cowboys, giving him one more shot to prove his worth in a live game before cutdown day.

  • Hakeem Butler WR | DEN

Hakeem Butler: Let go by Denver

The Broncos waived Butler on Tuesday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.

Butler signed with the Broncos in early June, attempting to make his return to the NFL after a stint with the UFL's St. Louis Battlehawks. The wide receiver received four targets over two preseason games but did not register a catch. Butler will now be placed on waivers, and if he clears will become a free agent able to sign with any team. The Broncos signed linebacker Ron Stone in a corresponding move.

  • Ja'Marr Chase WR | CIN

Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase: Says he could play through knee injury

Chase (knee) said Tuesday that he could play in a game Wednesday after exiting Tuesday's practice early, Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Chase has spent Tuesday afternoon downplaying his hyperextended knee, so this seems like it will be a non-issue moving forward after he came down awkwardly at the end of practice. The star wide receiver is a cinch top-five fantasy pick as Joe Burrow's alpha wideout.

  • Ja'Marr Chase WR | CIN

Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase: Downplays knee injury

Chase downplayed his knee injury Tuesday, saying it was a "little hyperextension," and he could've kept practicing, Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Chase came up limping at the tail end of Tuesday's session when he jumped for a deep ball and landed awkwardly. He immediately left the field and was tended to by the training staff before shooing them away and remaining on the sidelines for the remainder of practice. It sounds like Chase will be fine well in time for the Bengals' regular-season opener in a little less than three weeks.

  • Chris Olave WR | NO

Saints' Chris Olave: Exits practice early Tuesday

Olave exited Tuesday's practice early with an undisclosed injury, Mike Triplett of New Orleans.Football reports.

According to coach Kellen Moore, Olave got the wind knocked out of him, and the receiver is expected to be fine after landing on his back during drills, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. Olave left practice last week after a similar incident. With Jordyn Tyson (hamstring) set to miss significant time to begin the 2026 season, the Saints can't afford to lose Olave as well.

  • Giants' Calvin Austin: Carted off with knee injury Tuesday

Austin was carted off the field at Tuesday's practice with an apparent right knee injury, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.

It's believed to be a "serious" knee injury for the wideout, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Austin crumbled to the ground in pain at the end of a route in 1-on-1 drills. Signed as a free agent over the offseason, Austin was expected to operate as the Giants' third wideout behind Malik Nabers and either Darnell Mooney or Darius Slayton this season. If Austin is dealing with a significant injury, Odell Beckham's chances of making the roster increase.

  • Ja'Marr Chase WR | CIN

Bengals' Ja'Marr Chase: Limps off field at Tuesday's practice

Chase (knee) limped off the field at Tuesday's practice after landing awkwardly while attempting to reel in a deep ball, Jay Morrison of SI.com reports.

Chase was favoring his left knee after the play in question, but he was able to walk to the sideline under his own power with trainers, per Charlie Clifford of NBC 5 Cincinnati. Potentially a major development for the Bengals offense, Chase's status should receive some clarity after Tuesday's session.

  • Josh Downs WR | IND

Colts' Josh Downs: Held out with injury

Downs is not practicing Tuesday due to an unspecified injury, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.

Further details were not provided, but Downs dealt with a couple injury issues earlier in training camp and has now picked up another. Further details about his latest setback figure to be revealed in short order.
