  • Patriots' Matthew Slater: Remains limited to special teams

Slater played all 21 of his snaps on special teams in Sunday's 6-0 loss to the Chargers.

Slater has suited up for all 12 of the Patriots' games this season but has played all 272 of his snaps on special teams. Though he's listed as a receiver, Slater hasn't even drawn a target since the 2016 season and likely won't be counted on to contribute on offense even if the four wideouts currently on New England's Week 14 injury report -- DeVante Parker (knee), Demario Douglas (concussion), JuJu Smith-Schuster (ankle) and Kayshon Boutte (shoulder) aren't able to play Thursday against the Steelers.

  • Jets' Jason Brownlee: Not at practice

Brownlee (ankle) won't practice Wednesday, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.

Brownlee suffered a left ankle injury late in Sunday's loss to Atlanta and never ended up returning after his departure. The undrafted rookie wideout made his second consecutive start in Week 13, but even in a near-every-down role, he didn't draw many targets.

  • Patriots' Ty Montgomery: Mixes in on offense

Montgomery played three of the Patriots' 64 snaps on offense and carried once for two yards in Sunday's 6-0 loss to the Chargers.

With Rhamondre Stevenson exiting Sunday's game early with an ankle injury that's expected to keep him sidelined for multiple weeks, Montgomery resurfaced in the Patriots' backfield mix. He still lagged far behind Ezekiel Elliott in terms of both snaps and touches, but Montgomery at least had the opportunity to pick up his first carry since Week 5. The Patriots have kept Montgomery active for all 12 of their games to date mostly for his contributions on special teams, but he could end up settling in as the primary change-of-pace option behind Elliott while Stevenson is sidelined.

  • River Cracraft WR | WAS

Dolphins' River Cracraft: Reclaims depth role at receiver

Cracraft played 24 of the Dolphins' 61 snaps on offense and recorded two receptions for 16 yards on two targets in Sunday's 45-15 win over the Commanders.

Cracraft made his second appearance for Miami since being activated from injured reserve Nov. 14 after a seven-game absence due to a shoulder injury. The 29-year-old is valued for his skills as a blocker when he's on the field, but he doesn't project to see much involvement as a pass catcher while fellow wideouts Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are both available.

  • Josh Palmer WR | BUF

Chargers' Joshua Palmer: Practice window opens

The Chargers designated Palmer (knee) for return from injured reserve Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

The transaction opens up a 21-day window wherein Palmer can be activated from IR and added to the 53-man roster at any point. His presence would be a notable boost to the Chargers' receiving corps, which is lacking in reliable contributors beyond No. 1 option Keenan Allen. Depending on how confident the Chargers are in Palmer's health coming out of their three practices this week, he could be available to play as early as this Sunday versus Denver.

  • Chiefs' Marquez Valdes-Scantling: Modest production in loss

Valdes-Scantling caught two of five targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 27-19 loss to the Packers.

Valdes-Scantling's five targets tied a season-high that he previously set back in Week 7. Even so, the veteran wideout didn't do much with his opportunities while facing off against his former team. Valdes-Scantling has averaged just 16.1 receiving yards per game while finding the end zone only once through 12 appearances, making him difficult to trust as a weekly lineup option even in deeper leagues.

  • Skyy Moore WR | GB

Chiefs' Skyy Moore: Reels in one catch

Moore secured one of two targets for five yards in Sunday's 27-19 loss to the Packers.

Moore played 44 snaps in the loss, second among all Chiefs wideouts behind only Rashee Rice (46). The second-year wideout continues to underwhelm with his opportunities and doesn't look to be a viable fantasy option in most formats. Moore has just one touchdown to his name this season and has topped 50 yards from scrimmage just once in 12 appearances.

  • Elijah Moore WR | PHI

Browns' Elijah Moore: May move into pivotal role Week 14

Moore could emerge as Cleveland's top wideout Sunday against Jacksonville with Amari Cooper's (concussion) status uncertain for the Week 14 contest, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports.

Moore had his best game of the season against the Rams in Week 13, as he turned in a 4-83-0 receiving line on a season-high 12 targets. Those 12 targets went for 255 air yards, as Cooper's absence coupled with the presence of a strong-armed veteran quarterback in Joe Flacco -- who played with Moore on the Jets in the previous two seasons -- resulted in Moore garnering more downfield looks. If Cooper is unable to clear the five-step concussion protocol this week, Moore should be locked in as the Browns' No. 1 wideout against the Jaguars, and he could get the opportunity to continue to work with Flacco. Dorian Thompson-Robinson had started the Browns' previous two games before sitting out Week 13 with a concussion of his own, but he may not reclaim the top gig at quarterback if head coach Kevin Stefanski decides Flacco is better suited for the job on the heels of a solid showing against the Rams. If Stefanski decides to hand the job back to Thompson-Robinson, the Browns could lean more on a run-centric game plan that might hinder Moore's fantasy prospects, regardless of whether Cooper plays or not.

  • Kadarius Toney WR | CLE

Chiefs' Kadarius Toney: Minimal involvement in loss

Toney rushed once for six yards in Sunday's 27-19 loss to the Packers.

Toney was held without a target for the first time this season while playing just 18 percent of the Chiefs' offensive snaps. The 2023 campaign has been mostly a disappointment for the 24-year-old wideout, as he has just 22 grabs for 139 yards and one touchdown in 11 games this season. Toney's inconsistent involvement in Kansas City's passing attack should keep him off the fantasy radar when the Chiefs host the Bills in Week 14.

  • Justin Watson WR | HOU

Chiefs' Justin Watson: Not targeted against Packers

Watson played 40 of the Chiefs' offensive snaps and went without a target in Sunday's 27-19 loss to the Packers.

Despite playing 60 percent of the Chiefs' offensive snaps, Watson went without a target for the first time in 11 appearances this season. Outside of deeper formats, the 27-year-old's inconsistency from week to week makes him untrustworthy for fantasy purposes. Nonetheless, Watson will look to get more involved in a potential shootout Week 14, when the Chiefs host the Bills.
