  • Bengals' Tee Higgins: Efficient with three catches

Higgins brought in three of six targets for 59 yards in the Bengals' 33-27 win over the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Higgins tied for second in receptions and targets while also serving as the runner-up in receiving yards for the Bengals on an afternoon in which Joe Burrow spread the ball around to nine different targets. The veteran wideout also had a team-high 29-yard reception on one of his three grabs, while his final one of the day went for 18 yards for a key first down on the Bengals' game-sealing drive. Much more productive days are surely in store for Cincinnati's air attack, and a Week 2 road matchup against the Texans next Sunday doesn't seem as daunting after Houston's defense was repeatedly victimized by the Bills in Week 1.

  • Bengals' Tee Higgins: Logs another full practice

Higgins (heel) will play in Sunday's game against Tampa Bay after logging full practices Wednesday through Friday.

Ja'Marr Chase (knee) also is cleared to play, giving Joe Burrow plenty of firepower for the regular-season opener. Higgins seemed to stay healthy throughout spring and summer before missing a few practices with a heel contusion last week. He should be ready for his usual role come Sunday.

  • Bengals' Tee Higgins: Full-go Wednesday

Higgins (heel) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.

The Bengals look to have their dynamic receiver tandem in position to play in the opener as Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase (knee) both practiced in full to begin the week. Higgins was slowed by a heel contusion earlier in September but is tracking towards being ready to begin the season. The Bengals will host the Buccaneers to kick off 2026.

  • Bengals' Tee Higgins: On track for Week 1

Coach Zac Taylor said Wednesday he "feels good" about Higgins' (heel) chances of playing Sunday against Tampa Bay, Jay Morrison of SI.com reports.

Higgins has been dealing with a bruised heel, but there's been nothing to suggest he's in any real danger of missing Week 1. As is the case most weeks, Higgins is a fantasy WR2 with WR1 upside in the Bengals' elite passing offense.

  • Bengals' Tee Higgins: Suited up for practice

Higgins (heel) is in uniform for Monday's practice, Charlie Goldsmith of Charlie's Chalkboard reports.

Coach Zac Taylor relayed last Tuesday that Higgins was tending to a bruised heel, which sidelined the wide receiver since then, so his ability to suit up Monday generally is a step in the right direction. Cincinnati will be posting its first injury report of the season Wednesday, after which Higgins' activity level will become clearer as the team preps for Sunday's Week 1 matchup with the Buccaneers.

  • Bengals' Tee Higgins: No practice Wednesday

Higgins (heel) didn't take part in practice Wednesday, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.

On Tuesday, coach Zac Taylor relayed to Baby that Higgins was dealing with a bruised heel, but the issue wasn't a major concern. Having said that, Higgins didn't log any activity one day later, so his status, along with that of fellow DNP WR Ja'Marr Chase (knee), will be monitored closely as Week 1 inches closer. The Bengals take on the Buccaneers on Sunday, Sept. 13, meaning Higgins' first official practice reps of the campaign will be possible next Wednesday.

  • Bengals' Tee Higgins: Dealing with heel injury

Higgins is tending to a heel contusion, but coach Zac Taylor said Tuesday that it isn't considered to be a major concern ahead of Week 1, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.

No. 1 wideout Ja'Marr Chase is also currently recovering from a left knee injury that he suffered in practice last Tuesday. Fortunately for Higgins, he doesn't appear to have a serious injury, just one that he'll have to manage with a season-opening matchup with the Buccaneers on the horizon.
