  • Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn: Delivers division-clinching win

Fairbairn successfully converted all three field-goal attempts and two extra-point kicks in Saturday's 23-20 win over Tampa Bay in Week 16.

In a throwback to 2018, the Texans' offense stalled three times in the Buccaneers' red zone and needed Fairbairn to bail things out. He did so from 32, 25 and 37 yards, the last one being the game-winning score that clinched the AFC South for the Texans. Fairbairn has 98 points, which is middle of the pack among kickers, entering the regular-season finale against the Titans next week.

  • Rams' Greg Zuerlein: Available Saturday

Zuerlein (quadriceps) is active for Saturday's game at San Francisco, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

Zuerlein didn't practice this week due to a strained right quad, but his availability nonetheless was contingent on his ability to kick Friday. When the Rams didn't sign another kicker before this game, it was a sign that he got through the session without issue. He'll look to fare better than he did against the 49ers in Week 6, when he didn't attempt a field goal and made his sole point-after try.

  • Matt Gay K | LV

Buccaneers' Matt Gay: Gets back in game

Gay (undisclosed) has returned to action in Saturday's game against the Texans.

After getting banged up on a blocked kick return, Gay came back in and converted a 50-yard field-goal attempt. He appears no worse for wear and should be good to go for the remainder of Saturday's tilt.

  • Matt Gay K | LV

Buccaneers' Matt Gay: Hurt after blocked field goal

Gay was injured during a blocked field goal return Saturday against the Texans, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Bradley Pinion was spotted kicking into the practice net on the Tampa Bay sidelines after Gay was dinged up at the end of a blocked field-goal return. It's unclear if he'll be able to return to action Saturday.

  • Rams' Greg Zuerlein: Expected to play

Zuerlein (quadriceps) is expected to play Saturday against the 49ers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

The Rams opted not to sign another kicker ahead of Saturday's contest, which seems to indicate Zuerlein's availability. While fantasy owners may want to have a plan in place in the unlikely event the 31-year-old can't play, it's clear the Rams trust their kicker's health in a do-or-die playoff situation against the 49ers.

  • Dolphins' Jason Sanders: Should play despite questionable tag

Sanders (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Safid Deen of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Sanders worked as a limited practice participant Thursday and Friday, but coach Brian Flores indicated he's expected to be fine for Sunday. The 24-year-old should remain on track to play unless the Dolphins add another kicker to the roster by Saturday's roster deadline.

  • Dolphins' Jason Sanders: Turns in limited session Thursday

Sanders (illness) was limited in practice Thursday.

Sanders sat out a day prior due to the malady, but his quick return is a positive sign for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Another upgrade to a full practice Friday would be a sure sign he'll give it a go.

  • Brett Maher K | LAR

Brett Maher: Works out with Rams

The Rams held a workout for Maher this week, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Greg Zuerlein, the team's long-time kicker, has been unable to practice this week due to a strained quadriceps. Listed as questionable for Saturday's game in San Francisco, he's slated to suit up, but ultimately his availability will be determined Friday, when he'll kick for the first time this week, per Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com. If things don't go as planned, Maher appears to be the contingency plan following his recent tryout.

  • Rams' Greg Zuerlein: Status in question for Saturday

The Rams expect Zuerlein (quadriceps) to suit up Saturday at San Francisco, but he'll attempt kicks Friday to determine his availability, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.

Zuerlein hasn't logged a practice rep this week due to a quad strain. Friday's test should reveal whether or not he'll be available Saturday evening, but coach Sean McVay hinted the Rams have a contingency in place in the event Zuerlein is sidelined. If that comes to pass, the Rams likely will sign Brett Maher to the 53-man roster after he had a tryout with the team, per Field Yates of ESPN.

  • Younghoe Koo K | NYG

Falcons' Younghoe Koo: Puts in full workout

Koo (foot) was a full participant in Thursday's practice, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Koo was limited in Wednesday's session with a left foot injury, but his upgrade to full activity Thursday clears the way for him to handle kicking duties for Atlanta in Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Since signing with the team in late October, Koo has hit 17 of 19 field-goal tries and 11 of 12 extra-point attempts in six games.
