  • Brett Baty 3B | NYM

Mets' Brett Baty: Launches grand slam in win

Baty went 1-for-3 with a grand slam and a walk in Monday's 8-5 win over Atlanta.

Baty broke things open in the first inning with his first career grand slam off Bryce Elder. The 26-year-old Baty has gone just 4-for-27 over his past 10 games, but two of those hits have left the yard. On the season, he's slashing .215/.286/.330 with eight homers, 38 RBI, 42 runs scored and five steals across 379 plate appearances.

  • Dean Kremer SP | MIN

Twins' Dean Kremer: Dominates former team in win

Kremer (2-4) earned the win against the Orioles on Monday, allowing one run on one hit and one walk in seven innings. He struck out seven.

Facing the team that traded him away a bit over a week ago, Kremer looked very comfortable on the mound against his former Baltimore teammates. The right-hander poured in 60 of his 89 offerings for strikes, putting together his longest outing of the year in his first quality start since July 1 versus the White Sox. Kremer has conceded just a pair of runs in his first 12 innings for the Twins, and he'll try to further improve his 5.25 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 47:14 K:BB over 48 frames in 2026 this weekend against Philadelphia.

  • Hector Osorio CF | TEX

Rangers' Hector Osorio: On mend from injury

High-A Hub City placed Osorio on the 7-day injured list July 24 due to an unspecified injury.

Osorio made just three appearances coming out of the All-Star break before being shut down. After opening the season at Single-A Hickory, Osorio has continued to produce at a high level since getting bumped up to the South Atlantic League on June 9. Over 34 games at Hub City, the 21-year-old outfielder from Venezuela has slashed .275/.370/.489 with eight home runs.

  • Mets' Christian Scott: Chased early in no-decision

Scott did not factor into the decision in Monday's 8-5 win over Atlanta, allowing four runs on seven hits and one walk with six strikeouts over four innings.

Scott was given plenty of run support but was unable to work deep enough to qualify for a win despite throwing a solid 56 of 82 pitches for strikes. It was a bit of a step back after the 27-year-old tossed 11 innings over his previous two starts while exceeding 90 pitches on both occasions, but he's still managed at least six punchouts in five straight contests. He'll take a 3.45 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 98:33 K across 78.1 innings this season into a home matchup with the Nationals this weekend.

  • Trevor Rogers SP | BAL

Orioles' Trevor Rogers: Wild in eighth loss

Rogers (7-8) took the loss against the Twins on Monday, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks in four innings. He struck out four.

Rogers struggled to find the plate Monday, throwing only 45 of his 79 pitches for strikes while also plunking a pair of batters. It was the southpaw's shortest outing since May 8 in Tampa Bay, breaking up his streak of 12 starts with at least five innings. Rogers, who's worked to a 2.41 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 64:16 K:BB since the start of June (71 innings), will be aiming to rediscover his control against the Rays in pitcher-friendly Tampa Bay his next time out.

  • Bryce Elder SP | ATL

Braves' Bryce Elder: Hammered early in loss

Elder (8-7) took the loss against the Mets on Monday, allowing seven runs on 10 hits and three walks with four strikeouts over five innings.

Elder allowed seven runs over his first three frames, with the majority of the damage coming on a first-inning grand slam. It ends a hot stretch for the 27-year-old, who entered Monday having posted three quality starts while yielding just five earned runs through his first four second-half outings. He owns a 4.03 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 108:45 K across 131.2 innings this season and lines up for a home matchup with the Diamondbacks this weekend.

  • Kodai Senga RP | NYM

Mets' Kodai Senga: Earns first career save

Senga earned the save in in Monday's 8-5 win over Atlanta, allowing no hits and one walk with two strikeouts in a scoreless ninth inning.

Senga was summoned for his first major-league save opportunity and worked around a two-out walk to secure a three-run victory for the Mets. With Devin Williams (shoulder) hitting the injured list, the 33-year-old Senga appears to be part of a potential closer committee for as long as he's out. He's had few bright moments this season, posting a bloated 8.12 ERA, 1.70 WHIP and 57:34 K across 47.2 innings as both a starter and reliever.

  • Charles McAdoo 2B | TOR

Blue Jays' Charles McAdoo: Homers in return

McAdoo went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and a walk in Monday's 2-1 win over the Red Sox.

In his first major-league game since June 19, McAdoo broke a scoreless tie with a solo blast off Sonny Gray in the fifth inning. He also drew a walk in the sixth and was lifted for Ernie Clement as a defensive replacement in the eighth. The 24-year-old has gone just 5-for-27 with two homers in nine games with the Blue Jays but posted a solid .832 OPS with 16 homers and 12 steals across 385 plate appearances with Triple-A Buffalo this season.

  • Tigers' Thayron Liranzo: Receives clean bill of health

Liranzo (finger) has gone 5-for-36 (.139 average) with three home runs and a 7:16 BB:K in 10 games at Double-A Erie since being reinstated from the 7-day injured list July 28.

Liranzo was on the shelf for nearly four weeks in July after suffering a left finger laceration. He's struggled a bit at the dish since being activated but is still producing at just above the league-average level (.763 OPS, 103 wRC+) over 244 plate appearances at Double-A on the season.

  • Sonny Gray SP | BOS

Red Sox's Sonny Gray: Suffers tough-luck loss

Gray (14-3) took the loss against the Blue Jays on Monday, allowing two runs on six hits and one walk with four strikeouts over six innings.

Gray opened with four scoreless frames before allowing a run in each of the fifth and sixth innings, losing to the Blue Jays for the second time in his past four outings. The veteran hurler still managed to log his 15th quality start of the season, a feat he's accomplished in each of his past two turns after stumbling at the end of July. He'll take a 2.79 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 110:33 K across 125.2 innings this season into a road matchup with the Pirates this weekend.
