Senzatela notched a save against the Astros on Tuesday, striking out three batters over 2.2 perfect innings.

Kyle Freeland gave the Rockies a quality start with 6.1 frames of one-run ball, and Senzatela took over with one out in the seventh. The latter retired both batters he faced in that inning and then logged a 1-2-3 eighth, so manager Warren Schaeffer opted to keep him in for the ninth instead of turning to a reliever with more closing experience. Senzatela rewarded that decision with another perfect inning to close things out. The right-hander worked primarily as a starter across his first nine MLB campaigns, and this is first season as a full-time reliever. The transition has gone well so far, as he's yet to give up a run while compiling a 9:1 K:BB over 7.1 innings spanning three appearances. Senzatela has covered at least two frames in each of his outings, so he's likely to work mostly in long relief rather than at the end of games.

Pagan (1-0) earned the win Tuesday against the Marlins, allowing two walks with two strikeouts in a scoreless ninth inning.

Pagan came on in the bottom of the ninth in a 2-2 game and kept it tied to send it to a 10th frame. The Reds scored four in the next half inning and went on to win by three. Pagan leads the league in appearances (seven) and saves (four) and has lowered his ERA to 6.14 with four straight scoreless outings.

Abbott didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Marlins, allowing two runs on six hits and two walks with two strikeouts across 5.1 innings.

The Marlins scored both of their runs against Abbott in the fourth inning on a pair of groundouts. Abbott was in line to take his second loss of the season before the Reds rallied to tie the game in the ninth before winning it in the 10th inning. Abbott will carry a 3.18 ERA and 11:6 K:BB across 17 innings into his next start at home Sunday against the Angels.

Pepiot (hip) threw another bullpen session Tuesday, per MLB.com.

It was Pepiot's second session amid his recovery from right hip inflammation. The next step entails the right-hander progressing to facing hitters in live batting practice, which is then likely to be followed by a minor-league rehab assignment. Given the nature of his injury, Pepiot may only require a brief stint in the minors before being deemed ready to make his season debut for the Rays. Meanwhile, Joe Boyle looks likely to make at least two more starts for Tampa Bay.

Marsee went 2-for-4 with a walk, two runs scored and four stolen bases in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Reds.

Marsee stole 60 bases all of last season between Triple-A and the majors but entered play Tuesday with just one through 10 games. The Marlins made it a point to run on Tyler Stephenson all night and went a perfect 6-for-6 on stolen bases as a team Tuesday. Marsee reached base three times for the first time in 2026, as he came into the game with a total of four hits and five walks. The second-year outfielder is slashing .143/.245/.214 with two extra-base hits, two RBI, seven runs scored, five stolen bases and a 6:14 BB:K across 43 plate appearances.

Lopez was ejected from Tuesday's game against the Angels after getting into a fight with Jorge Soler.

After giving up a two-run homer to Soler in the second inning, Lopez plunked the 34-year-old outfielder with a 96-mph fastball in the third and threw another pitch near his head in the fifth, prompting Soler to charge the mound. Both players were ejected after trading punches and may also receive a suspension from MLB. Lopez finished the day with two unearned runs allowed on three hits and two walks while logging seven strikeouts over 4.2 innings.

Freeland (1-1) earned the win over Houston on Tuesday, allowing one run on three hits and one walk while striking out five batters over 6.1 innings.

Freeland gave up a solo homer to Christian Walker in the second inning, but that was the only tally the Astros were able to put on the scoreboard against him. The left-hander threw 55 of 81 pitches for strikes and got an impressive 15 whiffs en route to his first quality start and first win of the campaign. Though Freeland didn't get into the win column in either of his first two starts, he allowed just three runs over 9.1 frames during those outings, and his season ERA now stands at a tidy 2.30. He'll look to keep rolling in his next start, which lines up to come in San Diego this weekend.

Uceta (shoulder) began a rehab assignment with Double-A Montgomery on Tuesday, allowing one hit and no walks with one strikeout in a scoreless inning.

Uceta, who opened the season on the injured list due to a right shoulder impingement, took a big step forward in his recovery Tuesday. The Rays will presumably want to see the right-hander make it through a handful of rehab outings before they consider reinstating him from the IL, but a return for Uceta in mid-April appears to be on the table. Tampa Bay has a bit of a carousel forming at closer, and the expectation is that Uceta will join the open competition for save chances upon his season debut.

Bender suffered his second blown save in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Reds, allowing one walk with one strikeout across two-thirds of an inning.

After Sandy Alcantara allowed a double and a walk with one out in the ninth inning, Bender came on to protect a 2-0 lead with Pete Fairbanks (personal) still away from the team. Sal Stewart knocked one in with a sacrifice fly before a wild pitch by Bender tied the game. It was Bender's second blown save in the last four days, and he barely held on for the save Sunday against the Yankees when he allowed two runs on one hit and three walks. Bender wasn't actually charged with any of the runs Tuesday and still has a 9.00 ERA and 6:5 K:BB across four innings this season.

Soler was ejected from Tuesday's game against Atlanta after getting into a fight with Reynaldo Lopez.

Soler entered Tuesday's contest batting .591 (13-for-22) against Lopez, and he continued his success against the right-hander by hitting a two-run home run during his first at-bat of the game. After getting hit by a pitch during his second plate appearance, the 34-year-old avoided a pitch near his head when he stepped to the plate for the third time and subsequently charged the mound. Both players were ejected from the game after trading punches, and there's a good chance they will receive additional discipline from Major League Baseball.
