DeLuca was removed from Friday's game against the Yankees with an apparent lower-body injury, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

DeLuca appeared to tweak something while running from first to third on Cedric Mullins' double in the seventh inning. It's unclear what exactly he's dealing with, but the Rays could have an update on his status after the game. If the 27-year-old has to miss any time, Ryan Vilade would likely be the next man up to replace DeLuca as Tampa Bay's right fielder.

Susac isn't in the lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Susac has reached base six times and driven in two runs across his last three games, but the Giants will keep him on the bench to begin Friday's contest. Jesus Rodriguez will get the nod at catcher and bat seventh.

Kelenic was scratched from the lineup for Friday's game against the Giants with a lower-back contusion, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Kelenic has logged a base hit in each of his last two games, but he'll take a seat Friday to allow his back to heal. Derek Hill will fill in as Chicago's right fielder and bat ninth.

The Giants placed Lee on the 10-day injured list Friday, retroactive to Tuesday, with a mid-back strain.

Lee hasn't played since making an early exit from Monday's contest with what was initially labeled as back spasms. Upon further evaluation, the Giants determined the 27-year-old had suffered a strain, so they'll stash him away on the IL for at least a week. Will Brennan is a candidate to receive the bulk of starts in right field as long as Lee is sidelined, and Victor Bericoto will come up from Triple-A to replenish the big club's outfield depth.

The Rockies recalled Thompson from Triple-A Albuquerque on Friday, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

The Rockies sent Thompson down to Triple-A on Tuesday, but he'll come back three days later with Mickey Moniak (ankle) headed for the injured list. With Jordan Beck (hamstring) also set to remain on the IL until at least next Friday, Thompson could be in a position to make regular starts in left field for the next week or so.

The Rockies placed Moniak on the 10-day injured list Friday with right ankle tendinitis.

Moniak has been playing through the injury since colliding with the outfield wall during Colorado's series against Pittsburgh last week. He's gone 0-for-13 across his last five games while fighting his sprained ankle, so the Rockies will put him on the shelf for 10 days and give him time off to recover properly. Sterlin Thompson will come up from Triple-A Albuquerque in a corresponding move and could receive regular playing time in the outfield until Moniak or Jordan Beck (hamstring) returns.

The Rockies acquired Baker from the Phillies on Friday in exchange for international signing money.

Baker has spent the entire 2026 season with Double-A Reading, where he has a 2.65 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and a 25:5 K:BB across 17 innings. He has not seen any action higher than Double-A since joining the Phillies' organization in 2021.

The Tigers placed Smith on the 15-day injured list Friday with right shoulder inflammation.

Smith gave up one run in two-thirds of an inning during his appearance Thursday and came away from his outing with soreness in his shoulder. He received a cortisone injection Friday to help treat the issue, but he won't be able to avoid spending a couple of weeks on the injured list. Brenan Hanifee was recalled from Triple-A Toledo to fill the open spot in Detroit's bullpen.

The move corresponds with the Tigers placing Burch Smith on the 15-day injured list due to right shoulder inflammation. It's the second call-up this season for Haniffee, who has allowed two runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out five across 9.1 major-league innings. In 11 appearances in Triple-A, the right-hander has posted a 4.50 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 13:6 K:BB across 12 innings.

Nimmo (hamstring) will start in right field and bat third Friday against the Angels.

Nimmo made an early exit from Wednesday's game against the Rockies due to hamstring tightness, but after resting during Texas' day off Thursday, he will return to the starting nine without missing a start. The 33-year-old has been relatively cold at the plate recently, slashing .237/.328/.339 with one homer, four RBI and seven runs scored across 67 plate appearances since the beginning of May.
