Conine is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

Miami will keep Conine and fellow left-handed hitters Kyle Stowers, Joe Mack and Owen Caissie on the bench for the series finale in Sacramento while southpaw Gage Jump takes the hill for the Athletics. Conine went 0-for-10 with a 4:6 BB:K while starting in Miami's past three games, bringing his season-long batting line down to .233/.352/.433 over 71 plate appearances.

Stowers is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Athletics.

Bradish (5-9) took the loss Sunday against the Reds, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk over 7.2 innings. He struck out five.

Bradish pitched well Sunday, as he held the Reds to two runs on Spencer Steer's fifth-inning homer before giving up another run on a two-out hit in the eighth. However, Baltimore failed to provide Bradish with enough run support in an eventual 3-2 defeat. The right-hander has now dropped back-to-back starts, though he's given up just seven earned runs across 27.1 innings in his last four outings. Overall, Bradish's ERA sits at 3.75 with a 1.40 WHIP and 101:48 K:BB across 18 starts (100.2 innings) this season. He's tentatively in line to face the Royals at home his next time out.

The Diamondbacks optioned Groover to Triple-A Reno on Sunday.

After making starts in just one of the Diamondbacks' last seven games, Groover will head back to Triple-A to receive steadier playing time. Arizona recalled utility man Tim Tawa from Triple-A to join the active roster as a replacement for Groover, who slashed .167/.259/.271 with one home run, four RBI and four runs in 15 games during his month-long stay with the big club.

Arizona recalled Tawa from Triple-A Reno on Sunday.

With Nolan Arenado resting for Sunday's series finale versus Milwaukee, Tawa will enter the starting nine at third base and will bat seventh. Tawa isn't expected to be in line for steady at-bats while he's up with Arizona and will bring most of his value in his ability to play three infield and all three outfield spots. He's logged 76 plate appearances with Arizona this season, slashing .172/.270/.266 with one home run, eight RBI and six runs.

Diaz (elbow) said he felt "really good" while facing hitters in live batting practice Sunday, Jack Harris of the California Post reports.

The veteran closer took the mound against live batters for the first time since he underwent surgery in April to remove loose bodies from his elbow. Diaz told Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic that he was pleased with his velocity during the throwing session, and he's hopeful to begin a minor-league rehab assignment in the near future. The 32-year-old is aiming to be activated from the 60-day injured list shortly after the All-Star break.

Pagan earned the save in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Orioles, allowing a run on a hit and two walks in the ninth inning. He struck out one.

It didn't come easy for Pagan in his first save chance since returning from a nearly two-month stint on the IL. The Orioles loaded the bases with one out before adding a run on a sacrifice fly. Pagan then coaxed a lineout off the bat of Adley Rutschman, stranding the tying and go-ahead runs on base and locking down his seventh save of the year. It's been an uneven season for Pagan thus far -- he now sports a 6.46 ERA with a 1.50 WHIP and 13:8 K:BB across 15.1 innings. Still, the veteran is expected to hold down the ninth-inning job in Cincinnati going forward.

Kepler is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Brewers.

The left-handed-hitting Kepler will hit the bench for the third time in four games, with two of his absences coming against right-handed starters. After completing an 80-game suspension to begin the season and making his Arizona debut June 25, Kepler appeared primed for a strong-side platoon role in the left field. However, Kepler's ongoing struggles appear to have cost him some playing time; he's gone just 2-for-18 at the plate through his first six games with Arizona.

Lodolo (3-2) earned the win Sunday over the Orioles, allowing a run on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out four.

Lodolo was solid Sunday, as he held Baltimore scoreless through five innings before ultimately allowing a lone run on Coby Mayo's two-out single in the sixth. The win is Lodolo's first since May 31 -- that was also the last time he went at least six innings in a start. While his workload had been limited of late, Lodolo has now allowed just one run across 15 innings in his last three outings. The southpaw has lowered his ERA to 4.68 across 11 starts (57.2 innings) this season with a 1.46 WHIP and 46:24 K:BB. Lodolo is tentatively in line to face the Cubs at home his next time out.
