  • Mets' Francisco Lindor: Clubs homer No. 10

Lindor went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's win over the Nationals.

The shortstop produced his fourth multi-hit performance in the last seven games as he continues to heat up. Lindor has hit safely in 14 of the last 15 contests, slashing .359/.406/.594 over that stretch with three homers, three steals, seven runs and nine RBI.

  • Mets' Francisco Alvarez: Set to catch on consecutive days

Alvarez (thumb) will be behind the plate for Triple-A Syracuse on both Friday and Saturday before serving as the designated hitter Sunday, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

The young catcher is on track to return from a fractured left thumb early next week when the Mets return from London, but the organization will put him through his paces this weekend to make sure he's ready. Alvarez caught a combined no-hitter with High-A Brooklyn on Tuesday, and he's drawn praise from coaches for the work he's put in during his rehab assignment. While his thumb will remain in a splint for a while yet, he should immediately slot back in as New York's starting catcher when he returns, although his backup -- whether that's Tomas Nido or Luis Torrens -- could still see a bigger workload in the short term as Alvarez gets eased back into action.

  • Rockies' Justin Lawrence: Set to resume throwing

Lawrence (shoulder) will throw bullpen sessions during the Rockies' upcoming road trip, MLB.com reports.

The Rockies will head out for a road trip Thursday, with Lawrence accompanying the team. The activity will mark his first intense throwing since landing on the injured list May 27. Lawrence is expected to return in mid-June.

  • Braves' Spencer Schwellenbach: Hit hard in Boston

Schwellenbach (0-2) took the loss Wednesday against the Red Sox, allowing six runs on seven hits and two walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out four.

It was a tough day for Schwellenbach, who allowed three runs in the second inning and another three in the fifth en route to his second loss in as many starts. The 24-year-old right-hander has now allowed nine runs through his first 9.2 innings with Atlanta after pitching to a 2.21 ERA across eight starts between High-A Rome and Double-A Mississippi. If Atlanta elects to keep Schwellenbach in the majors for another turn in the rotation, he'd currently line up for a road matchup in Baltimore early next week.

  • Rockies' Brendan Rodgers: Eight RBI in last seven games

Rodgers went 2-for-4 with a double, three RBI and a run scored Wednesday against the Reds.

Rodgers accounted for the majority of his production with a two-RBI single in the first inning. He now has at least one extra-base hit and one RBI in three straight games and has driven in eight runs across his last seven starts. Rodgers has lacked power production early this season, though he has managed a .274 batting average with 46 combined runs and RBI across 57 games.

  • Jake Cave LF | COL

Rockies' Jake Cave: Chance for short-term playing time

Cave went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts Wednesday against the Reds.

Cave drew a start in his second consecutive game Wednesday, and he should have the chance to see his playing time tick up in the short term with both Kris Bryant (ribs) and Sean Bouchard (ankle) sidelined. Cave has had limited power production, though he's hit a respectable .247 and has tallied 11 runs scored in 92 plate appearances for the season. Even if his playing time ticks up in the short term, he will likely return to being a bench bat as soon as Nolan Jones (knee) can return.

  • TJ Friedl CF | CIN

Reds' TJ Friedl: Extends hit streak to four games

Friedl went 1-for-2 with a walk, a stolen base, a home run, two RBI and two additional runs scored in Wednesday's 12-7 win over Colorado. He was also hit by a pitch twice.

Friedl, who launched one of four Cincinnati home runs in the come-from-behind victory, appears to be getting his swing in shape. After missing a significant amount of time to start the season, he's hit safely in four consecutive games, going 5-for-15 with two home runs, six RBI and five runs. The hit-by-pitches could become a concern, as Friedl has been plunked five times (T-21st) in just 56 plate appearances.

  • Pirates' Edward Olivares: Scores three times

Olivares went 2-for-2 with two walks, an RBI, three runs scored and a stolen base Wednesday against the Dodgers.

Olivares rarely starts against right-handed pitching, and he took advantage of a chance against lefty James Paxton on Wednesday. The effort marked his fourth multi-hit performance of the past month, during which he's hit .298/.352/.489. However, he's also appeared in only 16 games and earned 54 plate appearances in that span, and that sporadic playing time makes it difficult to roster him in most fantasy formats.

  • Austin Warren RP | NYM

Giants' Austin Warren: Begins rehab assignment

Warren (elbow) threw a scoreless inning Wednesday in his first rehab appearance with the Arizona Complex League Giants.

Warren has finally been cleared for a rehab assignment following the long road back from Tommy John surgery. He will likely need most, if not all, of his allotted 30 rehab days, putting him on pace to return in early July if all goes well.

  • Spencer Steer 1B | CIN

Reds' Spencer Steer: Provides winning hit

Steer went 1-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Wednesday's 12-7 win over the Rockies.

Steer's two-run shot in the top of the ninth plated the tying and go-ahead runs for the Reds, who swept the Rockies in Colorado for the first time since 2012. He's cranked it up to start the new month with hits in five straight games, going 11-for-23 with a home run, two doubles and five RBI.
