Rockies' Jacob Stallings: Filling in for banged-up Diaz
Stallings will start at catcher and bat fifth in Wednesday's game against the Twins.

Kyle Finnegan RP | DET
Nationals' Kyle Finnegan: Grabs second win
Finnegan (2-3) earned the win in Tuesday's 10-inning victory over the Tigers, striking out three over 1.1 scoreless innings.
Finnegan struck out Colt Keith for the final out in the ninth, stranding the winning run on second base, before the Nats took a 5-4 lead in the top of the 10th. The right-hander would then set Detroit down in order in the bottom half, stranding the free runner to close out his second win this season. The 32-year-old Finnegan has been superb this year, allowing just two earned runs in his last 25.2 innings. Overall, he sports a 1.65 ERA with a 0.84 WHIP and 29:10 K:BB while converting 18 of 20 save chances across 27.1 innings.

Carroll began his night with an RBI triple in the second and later came around to score. He then doubled his next time up in the fourth and would walk and cross home once more in the fifth. Elias Diaz C | TEX
Rockies' Elias Diaz: Remains out Wednesday
Diaz (calf) is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game in Minnesota.
As expected, Diaz will get another day to rest his left calf injury. The hope is that he will be ready to play Friday in Denver versus the Pirates following the Rockies' off day Thursday, but his availability for the weekend isn't guaranteed. Jacob Stallings will start at catcher Wednesday.

Trey Lipscomb 3B | WAS
Nationals' Trey Lipscomb: Bound for big leagues
The Nationals plan to call up Lipscomb from Triple-A Rochester ahead of Wednesday's game in Detroit, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.
He'll likely join the 26-man active roster as a replacement for first baseman/outfielder Joey Gallo, who is expected to go on the 10-day injured list after straining his hamstring in Tuesday's 5-4 win. Between his previous two stints in the majors this season, Lipscomb slashed an underwhelming .252/.331/.290 over 121 plate appearances, though he contributed 10 stolen bases on 11 attempts. Lipscomb had served mostly as an everyday player at third base when he was up with the Nationals earlier this season, but he could be relegated to a short-side platoon role if Washington elects to have Joey Meneses replace Gallo as a regular in the lineup.

Gabriel Moreno C | ARI
Diamondbacks' Gabriel Moreno: Three hits Tuesday
Moreno went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's win over the Angels.
Both of Moreno's doubles were scorched off the bat at 106 MPH. The second one traveled 407 feet to center and would have gone out in 18 other ballparks. It was the second time this season that he's tallied at least three hits in a game and also his second time with multiple extra-base hits. The 24-year-old backstop now has five extra-base hits this month after tallying just eight over his first 46 games of the year. He's slashing .240/.314/.345 with two homers, 22 RBI, 20 runs and an 18:30 BB:K in 191 plate appearances.

He continues to have a sharp eye at the plate so far in June, as he's slashing .375/.512/.688 with three homers, six RBI, eight runs and an 8:7 BB:K in 41 plate appearances.

Jalen Beeks RP | TEX
Rockies' Jalen Beeks: Used as setup man again
Beeks allowed one hit across 1.2 scoreless innings to earn a hold Tuesday against the Twins.
Beeks entered the game in the seventh inning with the Rockies hanging onto a two-run lead. He allowed only an infield single to turn in his third consecutive scoreless appearance. However, Beeks appears to have ceded the closer role to Tyler Kinley, as Kinley has picked up each of the last three saves for Colorado.
